Each year Dollywood hosts the Great Pumpkin LumiNights to create a fun and exciting experience for families to enjoy. We like the Halloween celebration at Dollywood because it is a lighthearted event that isn’t too spooky making it great for kids of all ages and adults who don’t feel like taking part in bone-chilling experiences.

Howl-O-Scream at Busch Gardens in Tampa

The monsters take over Busch Gardens during Halloween to make the theme park even more fun. During the Howl-O-Scream event, guests will be able to walk through the designated scare zones and make their way through various haunted house experiences.

As you travel through these areas, you will walk the streets with zombies, deranged clowns, and other spooky characters as they roam the park and try to scare you. You will also find roaming hoards of monsters throughout scare zones that will have you always expecting the unexpected. 

Busch Gardens in Tampa also serves up some of the best fall festival food and offers live entertainment and performances for guests to enjoy.

HalloWeekends at Cedar Point

Held on select days and nights in September and October, HalloWeekends at Cedar Points brings fun activities and a fall fest to the park. 

Throughout the festival, during the day there are tasty treats and fun tricks and activities that are perfect for young children. At night, the park offers spooky mazes, haunted attractions, and even a frightful roller coaster. 

Hersheypark in the Dark at Hershey Park

Hershey Park in Pennsylvania features a fun family-friendly Halloween experience that everyone will love aptly names Hersheypark in the Dark. Home to one of the largest coasters around, the park goes all out for Halloween to create a spooky experience for its guests.

After enjoying some of the park’s rides and their Halloween-themed lights-out rides, don’t forget to try some of the sweet fall flavors the restaurants and shops have to offer. As you enjoy the rides and the flavors of fall, you’ll probably see some festive Hershey character faces around the park all decked out in their Halloween costumes enjoying the sights and scenes.

Brick or Treat at Legoland California

If you are looking for a Halloween theme park experienced that is more kid-focused, the Brick or Treat event at the Legoland California resort is a must-see. Every Saturday in October the park rides stay open later, there is live entertainment, extravagant Halloween décor, and other spooky fun for all to enjoy.

The SEA LIFE aquarium even joins in the fun with live creatures, spooky-fun exhibits, and more. The kids will love taking part in the character meet and greets, the costume contest, and dance parties that are held at the park.

Fright Fest at Six Flags

Fright Fest is a spooktacular celebration that Six Flags holds every year during Halloween. The event features family-friendly shows and attractions during the day and even more spooky fun once the sun goes down. 

At night, the park turns a bit spookier and those thrilling rides we all love are made into a goblin-loving fright fest as the terror comes alive. They say only the bravest souls can handle their scare zones and haunted attractions, so enter if you dare!

Boo Bash at Disney World

No theme park list with events would be complete without including the most well-known theme park, Disney World. During the Halloween season, Disney celebrates with a large fun and spooktacular after-hours Boo Bash.

As you make your way through the park, you might see some of your favorite characters all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. Live shows and fun Halloween-themed entertainment are also scattered throughout the specially decorated park.
