I love to travel! As a matter of fact I’m only 2 but have been to a lot more countries than my age. It’s always fun traveling and you get to learn so much more than just what you see on a daily basis at home. The culture is usually different and what an experience it is. How would you like to travel the globe and learn different cultures along the way? Well thanks to the Madame Alexander Doll Company you can in play form of course. Madame Alexander introduces a brand new series of dolls called Travel Friends from 9 different countries. The countries included in the series are Russia, Italy, India, France, Mexico, China, Germany, Kenya and Ireland.
I am currently a Madame Alexander Brand Ambassador and I was sent Privet from Russia and Ciao from Italy. Each doll is 7-inches and are sized just right for little hands. They also come with details of their own country cultures and costumes.
Each comes with their own Hello! from their country and offers fun facts and highlights of interesting places to explore in her hometown. Just check out the packaging of Privet. I not only learned that Privet means “hello” in Russia but I also found out that the Hermitage, which Privet loves to visit, is also one of the oldest museum in the world.
What I loved about these dolls were the attention to detail. From their traditional outfits to their hair. Their hair is rooted which means that your little one would enjoy playing with their hair and not have to worry about their hair falling out.
Privet who is from Russian has straight long blonde hair with bangs and the most amazing blue eyes. She also has on red patent leather shoes to complement her outfit. She even wears the cutest dress with red bodice and a red-and-white ikat skirt complete with blue ric-rac trim.
Now let me introduce you to Ciao! As you know Ciao means “hello” in Italian. She has flowing black curls which is tied together with a red hair bow and gorgeous green eyes. She loves to eat gelato and also loves to go to Venice where she rides in gondolas through the Canals. She learns about the Roman history by visiting the Parthenon and the Coliseum. She’s dressed in red and white polka dotted halter dress with with trim and a green bow. She also wears black patent leather flats.
Each doll is fully bendable and posable and their clothes I should tell you can be removed as well. Those added feature would have your little one playing with them even more. They will have hours of enjoyment playing with their new Travel Friends while learning about new cultures. While these dolls are recommended for ages 3+ your much younger toddler would also enjoy them as well, with adult supervision of course, since their shoes are removable and may present a choking hazard.
I love playing with my new Travel friends and know that your little ones would too. I have a lot of fun introducing them to each other. They love meeting each other and being great friends. Madame Alexander Travel Friends totally get my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
Travel Friends retails for $16.95 and are currently available for purchase at specialty stores nationwide, Toys”R”Us locations and online at Madame Alexander.
