Bambo Nature Diaper Review

All opinions are my own.

I’m currently potty training but that hasn’t been going too well all because of mommy and daddy’s schedule. It hasn’t always been consistent which makes it even more difficult. I’ve also been using both cloth and disposable diapers.

When the makers of Bambo Nature offered to send me their package of diapers I didn’t know what to expect. After all we had a preferred brand and I have sensitive skin. I don’t particularly like changing diaper brands but I was assured that these were the next best thing.

Well what do I think? I can certainly say that these exceeded my expectations. They feel soft and cloth like and came with a wetness indicator. Our version that we were using didn’t come with a wetness indicator. Mommy really liked this feature because daddy doesn’t always remember to change me on time but with this he could see that I was wet, which meant time for a pamper change. These were also a lot softer than our regular brand and the fit was even better.

Pamper with wetness indicator

These are available in 9 different sizes so I was sure I would find the size that I needed. I received a package of size 4 (18-40lbs) which is my normal size in my other brand that I use and the fit is actually a lot more comfortable. They do run a little bit bigger so I can expect to wear size 4 in Bambo Nature for a while. My Bambo Nature diaper has stretchy velcro-style tabs that makes them resealable and so I  can be checked over and over. It also comes with a super absorbent core that has a unique layer that draws wetness away from my skin and thereby keeping me dry. Also has a flexible sidepanel which stretches for an easy fit, for improved comfort and freedom of movement. The breathable back-sheet allows air to circulate to my skin, reducing moisture content and thereby reducing the risk of skin irritation.

The true test came when I had to sleep in them overnight. Mommy was a little worried because as I’ve stated we have our true and tested brand that has worked for us since the day I was born. Was this going hold up? Was I going to wake up with a bed that was wet? Mommy placed me in a Bambo Nature diaper before I went to bed and I was up at the crack of dawn, approximately 9hrs later and my bed was still dry but my diaper was soaked. I can say that this passed my test and I was happy that it did. After all no one likes sleeping on a wet bed. I can also say that with my sensitive skin there were no skin irritations either so it proved to be true.

Fits great! I can move around as much as I want.

Well I’m sure you’re probably wondering what we didn’t particularly like about our diapers. Well mommy didn’t particularly like the price.  My size 4 worked out to be 51cents per diaper. That is pretty expensive compared to most diapers but for what you get the price can be justified. After all you’re getting a diaper that uses up less carbon footprint than most since it is 75% biodegradable compared to 30% for most other diapers. You also get a diaper that is certified free from harmful chemicals. No anti-oxidants, PVC or Latex so for those with latex allergies this is the perfect diaper.

Here are some facts taken from the Bambo-Nature website.
