DIY Easter Bunny Wreath

Did AnnMarie skip St. Patrick’s Day and jumped into Easter with her Easter Bunny Wreath? I sure did, didn’t I? Well don’t worry, there’s a St. Patrick’s Day craft in the works, but there’s been so many interruptions that it isn’t quite complete, but will be very soon. Anyway, is it really too early to be thinking of Easter? I say it’s never too early, and hopefully with the help of our Easter Bunny Wreath, you too can start thinking about decorating your home for Easter as well.

DIY Easter Bunny Wreath

There’s just something about Easter that I adore. It may be all the fond memories that I have of Easter growing up as child. Growing up in the Caribbean, there was no such thing as Spring as it’s simply Summer all year round, so Easter was considered our Spring. My mom was big on religion, so Easter for us meant going to church, and that also meant that we got new outfits. Even now as an adult it’s the one time that I do take my family to church, and we all know that the stores are stocked with Easter clothing for the kids and adults alike. Don’t get me wrong, we do go to church on other days besides Easter, but Easter is extra special to us. However, this post isn’t about religion, but about my choice to make this wreath.

Easter Bunny

Every season I decorate my home and especially my front door. You may remember that I recently did a Spring Pinecone Wreath, but there are numerous other wreaths here on my blog. On a trip to one of my favorite craft store, they had this beautiful Easter wreath, but the price-tag wasn’t justifiable enough for a purchase, especially since it could be easily recreated and made my own for much less. With that in mind, the decision was made, and a few trips to acquire the materials I would need. I linked to the materials that were used on my wreath so you can make one of your own as well. (Don’t worry, there are no affiliate links in this post so you don’t have to hesitate to click away.)

Materials used:

10″ Grapevine wreath

Jute twine

glue gun

(This isn’t one of my cheaper wreaths, but Michaels almost always have a 40% off coupon sale going on.)

Easter Bunny Wreath Supplies

Directions:

Step 1. First begin by wrapping your garland around your grapevine wreath. The fun thing about the garland is that no glue is needed. You can simply wrap it around itself and it will stay in place.

Step 2. With your glue gun, place a good amount of glue on the bottom of your bunny’s feet and attach it to your wreath. Wait a few minutes to be sure that it’s stuck correctly.

Step 3. Stick your foam egg picks in your desired location and attach your carrots with some glue in a placement of your choice.

Step 4: Cut a piece of jute twine and use it to hang your wreath on your door.

That’s it! You’re finished! Can you believe that this wreath took me less than 10 minutes to construct? You too can make your own Easter Bunny Wreath for your own door this Easter, and I can’t wait to see them.

SHARING IS AWESOME!
