Start Your Financial Planning Today

When I heard the words “Financial Planning” my heart skipped a beat. I’m not the best when it comes to money and I have to say that although I have a great credit score, own my own home and have very little debt besides my mortgage and car payment, I’m still not financially responsible. I love to shop and the words “sale” and/or “clearance” usually means I must buy. However, when you have kids, 1 in college and college looming ahead for the others, it’s time that you take financial responsibility. I’ve never sat down with a financial advisor before and was dreading what one would say to me. I know curbing my spending habits would definitely be in the picture, but how easy would it all be? When I heard about SUM180 I had no idea what to expect. I however did a little bit of research, and what I saw I liked.

SUM180 is a radically different kind of service with one goal: to make financial planning simple, affordable, and even fun – for every woman, wherever she is on her financial journey. I am being honest here, my financial journey was just beginning. When it comes to money I don’t like getting anyone involved, but as I mentioned, I also had kids so I had their future to think about. So I decided to give SUM180 a try.

Here are a few things to note:

1. SUM180 is very user friendly and accessible
– Everything is easy to understand and I was able to go in and input all my information very easily. I thought that it would have taken me hours, but it really didn’t. I suggest however that you have your tax information and bills handy when you’re ready to start.

2. It is Personalized Just For You
– This isn’t a one size fits all plan. This is tailored uniquely for you using YOUR information. So you receive information that is just for you based on your financial input and a plan made just for you with recommendations on how you can improve your finances.

3. It is Affordable
– That was my main worry. Not being “rich” I have looked into financial planning in the past. but the prices were such a big turn off. After all, why pay thousands of dollars to help with your finances if paying that sum is going to make your finance worse? The people who usually need help with their finance are usually the ones who don’t have a lot of money so affordability was a very big factor for me. Another thing is that if your finances do change suddenly and you can no longer afford your plan, you can always switch to the free plan.

4. Consultation with a Financial Adviser
– When you’re ready to speak to a financial adviser you can request for one right there on the SUM180 website. You don’t have to go far at all and you’ll be connected to some of the most respected financial advisers right here in the USA. No one talking to you from India. Don’t you just love that?

My experience with SUM180 has been such a positive. I was truly surprised at how easy the entire process was and I now have a solid plan for my future and that of my kids. While I knew how much I was spending, and I also knew how much debt I owned, I had no understanding of my equity and what could happen if I budgeted or even increased/decreased spending in certain areas. Once I received my plan I was able to see that. I’m now able to focus on the 3 steps that will make my life and that of my kids so much better. All told simply enough so I could understand. You don’t need a financial degree to understand what is laid out for you. I’ve also joined in the community where there are other members just like myself, there to support each other with their plans.  We’re all there to help. After all, whether you’re just beginning, starting over or well on your way to your financial journey, we all need help, whether we realize it or not, and SUM180 is there for you.
