Recently mommy and I were contacted by a Graco representative to try out their award winning Graco Blossom 4-in-Seating System. Now when we say award winning, we truly mean it. The Graco Blossom 4-in-1 Seating System has earned the prestigious honor of being named to Babies “R” Us and WhaTtoExpect.com’s 2014’s “Mom’s Love It” List! This list is a compiled selection of mom-approved products that soon-to-be parents can use to populate their ideal baby registry. As always, Graco aims to create well-designed, high quality products that are carefully constructed to make your life easier, fitting in with both the parents and child’s needs. Now when you see 4-in-1 you think about savings. Here is a product that eliminates the need for others so we were only to happy to give it a go.
The instructions that came with the Blossom 4-in-1 seating system was pretty easy to use and surprisingly out of the box there weren’t a lot of parts to assemble. The only tool required was a Phillips screwdriver that was needed to install three screws. Everything else was click and go. Now here is a video from Graco showing how easy it was to set up.
Now on to our actual review. Since the Graco Blossom 4-in-Seating System is designed to adjust to your child’s growing seating needs I really only needed to use the toddler booster and the youth chair. It does transform seamlessly from an infant highchair to an infant feeding booster, toddler booster and youth chair. The great thing about it as well is that you can accomodate a baby and a toddler at the table all at the same time, so if your family suddenly decide to grow you’ll have no problem at all.
The toddler booster was really easy to set up out of box although mommy decided to use the infant feeding booster set up. Having the back rest of the infant set up made it a lot more comfortable for me. The material of the seat pad that comes with the Blossom-4-in-1 looks almost like leather but it is not. We did wish that it was of a different color because us toddlers can be very messy. I did spill my drink on it and I can say that it is easy to clean up. It comes on and off easily so you don’t have to worry about your little one sitting on a dirty chair. The chair is made of high quality plastic which is also easy to clean.
It attaches very easily to your dining table chair and has a 5 point or 3 point harness system. Without the backing of the infant seating you will only need to use the 3 point harness. The set up is very sturdy and stable and while mommy has always been nervous about me in a toddler booster, this confirmed her fears that they were ungrounded. Now the toddler booster gets me up to close to the table so I can sit with the rest of the family and have breakfast, lunch or dinner. Mommy did remove the seating material because to be honest you don’t really need it.
The next thing that we decided to try out was the youth chair. According to the instructions, this has a max weight requirement of 60lbs. The youth chair is the base for the high chair and comes with a 6 position height adjustment. There is also a 3 point safety harness with the youth chair for your little ones but it can be removed once they get bigger. The picture you see is the youth chair in it’s highest setting. There are wheels which are lockable but it does make it very easy to move around.
There is an adjustable footrest which is easily removable and lets your little one sit comfortably in the youth chair.
Overall impression of the Graco Blossom 4-in-1 seating system.
It is an affordable alternative to buying all 4 products at MSRP $189.99. If you plan on purchasing each item separately you would be paying much more than that. We love the neutral color of the high chair making it great for either boy or girl. Set up was very easy and simple to do which I’m sure most parents would welcome. The only thing I did wish was that the weight requirment went up a bit more. I have other high chairs that go up to 200lbs meaning that they would last almost forever. My 9 year old brother weighs 80lbs so he won’t be able to use it. Overall though this is a great chair and I would recommend it to parents. This gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
