August 2013 Stork Stack Toddler Box Review

It’s that time of the month again for our monthly review of our Stork Stack Toddler Box. For those who don’t know about Stork Stack,  its a monthly subscription box service that caters to babies from the third trimester to toddlers up to age 3. I’m 18 months old so I get a toddler box.☺

The theme for this month was “Splish Splash! Bed and Bath!” and the card read:

For many parents, bath time is one of the most precious parts of the daily routines. The bonding, the smiles, the giggles, and the bubbles all leave your little one squeaky clean and your heart full. This month’s Stack includes plenty of products carefully selected to contribute to that valuable bath time bonding. We also know that bath time is often the firs step in the bedtime routine, which is why we’ve included one of our favorite books to calm and soothe your kiddo before dozing off to sleep. So enjoy that clean baby smell and the precious memories bath time brings!

This month’s products were from Green Toys, Rich Frog, Bionée, Chivas and macmillan Publishers. We had never heard of a few of them so we were looking forward to seeing what they were and trying them. Without further ado here goes our products.

Rich Frog Soap Sacks are a bath time essential. The Soap Sack is a soap holder and wash mitt all in one. A bar of soap fits nicely in the pouch making bathtime clean-up easy and fun. WOrks well with liquid soap too. Each comes with hanging loop for quick drying.

ok at this price mommy would not buy this for me. I currently use my little girly washcloths and sometimes one of those sponges for my bath. I don’t use bar soaps but will use it with my liquid soap.

Book: It’s Time to Sleep, My Love – $7.19

As comforting as a soft blanket and warm as a goodnight hug, Eric Metaxas’s lullaby is lovingly brought to life by bestselling artist Nancy Tillman (On the Night You were Born), whose illustrations celebrate the wonders of the natural world, and the bonds of family

We now have two copies

We are huge fans of Nancy Tillman and have On the Night You Were Born. It’s one of those books that mommy brought for me when I was born and so we already had this one as well. So now we have two copies of this book but mommy plan on giving it to someone. If you’ve never read Nancy Tillman I’d suggest getting one of her books. We’ve also pre-ordered her newest book I’d Know You Anywhere My Love which is set to be released on August 27th.

Bionée Pure Hair & Body Cleansing Foam – $11.50

Ultra-gentle foam wash with ingredients that soothe baby’s skin, leaving it soft and protected. Precious essential oils calm your child before sleep time. Bubble foam in a bottle – no soap, no tears, pure fun!

Chivas Bath Salts – $4.00 (a bath treat for Mom!)

Our Bath Salts are made with Dead Sea Salts to detoxify, Goat Milk Powder to nourish, blend of bath oils to moisturize, and pure essential oils and herbs to soothe the senses.

Mommy finally got something for herself this month and she was excited to receive this. She can’t wait to soak in the tub with it. Thank you Stork Stack for including something for mommy this time around!

Our August Stork Stack Box was interesting and I liked what I received this month although I could have done without a second copy of the book. The grand total for our box this month was $45.63. Not bad at all.
