Planning a vacation to Europe with kids can be an exciting experience. The opportunity to let them gain exposure to new and different cultures is one you shouldn’t pass up, but at the same time, it’s one you should put some thought into before you take the plunge and travel overseas. Some spots in Europe are much easier to navigate with little ones than others, and you’ll want to keep that in mind as you choose your destination.

LONDON, ENGLAND.
It’s no surprise to see London on this list. Home to many landmarks your little ones may recognize, like Big Ben and the London Eye, you won’t have a hard time hyping them up for the trip. The fact that everyone speaks English is a huge plus, as you won’t struggle to read street signs, order off of menus, or interact with locals. And with a seemingly endless number of parks, museums, and attractions to enjoy, you’ll find it easy to fill your itinerary with activities the whole family will love.
COPENHAGEN, DENMARK.
Denmark may not be one of the most well-visited spots in Europe, but you’ll be pleasantly surprised to see how much fun your family can have here. You’ll find friendly locals, pleasant weather, and plenty to see and do. This kid-friendly city is filled with beautiful parks and playground to explore, as well as outdoor spaces like Tivoli Gardens, a well-loved historical amusement park. Two must-see attractions you won’t want to miss are the aquarium or zoo.
PARIS, FRANCE.
Like London, your little ones will likely know a thing or two about Paris. They’ll be excited to see the Eiffel Tower up close, especially as it sparkles in the evening, and they’ll love indulging in the sweet treats Paris is known for, like macaroons and Nutella and banana crepes. From exploring the Louvre and the Catacombs to riding the carousels and spending afternoons playing in the well-kept city parks, you’ll have an incredible time exploring the City of Lights together.

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS.
Many travelers associate Amsterdam with coffee shops and the debaucherous Red Light District, but it’s actually a great spot to spend a few days with kids. You can explore on foot, by bicycle, or on an educational boat tour, and when you’re done, you can snack on sugary stroopwafels as you check out the city on foot. There are lots of parks and playground, world-renowned art museums, and well-known historical spots like the Anne Frank House.
Bringing the kids to Europe can be a great way to show them different cultures and bring to life some of the stories they’ve learned through books, television, and lessons at school.
