The Greatest Events to Experience At the Disneyland Resort

Disneyland is full of surprises. No matter how much magic is just around every corner, there is always a new way to experience our favorite shows and attractions. One of the best parts of a Disney vacation is the nighttime spectaculars like Fantasmic! and Paint the Night. These dazzling showstoppers help bring the day’s fun to an epic climax and are well worth staking out a good spot hours before the parade, or show even starts.

One of the things Disneyland keeps improving on is the food offerings in the parks. There are always new events and menu changes that continue to wow guests and improve the overall experience. Nowhere is this better demonstrated than in the mouth-watering dinner packages and dessert parties for Disney’s greatest nighttime performances.

Between offering guests exclusive access and creating big draws in the food department, Disneyland has ways of making your experience even more magical with events like dining packages, dessert parties, festivals, and after-hours entertainment. Here are some of Disneyland’s best events.

PAINT THE NIGHT RECEPTION PACKAGE

Sonoma Terrace is located near the Golden Vine Winery at the foot of Grizzly Peak at the Pacific Wharf. They feature an assortment of California craft beers and serve Bavarian Pretzels and Italian Flatbreads. When you purchase the Paint the Night Package, you are entitled to a charcuterie tray wine, beer, or soft drinks. Plus you get to take home a box of truffles. In addition to the food, you have access to reserved seating for Paint The Night in the preferred viewing area. The ticket price for this event is $79 per person in addition to park admission.

FANTASMIC DINING PACKAGE

You Can get premium viewing for Fantasmic! and have a fantastic three-course meal at the Blue Bayou. The package is available for lunch, or dinner. You get to choose your appetizer, entree, and dessert in the gorgeous outdoor bayou setting. Then you are given exclusive access to premium seating for the show. The package is $59 per person for lunch and $65 for dinner.

FOOD AND WINE

Disneyland’s famous Food and Wine Festival is coming back in early 2019. This exciting event can be enjoyed at no extra charge. It is part of the general admission ticket for Disney’s California Adventure. Disneyland has been delivering on more great new foods than ever, and this is the event that started all of that.

The Food and Wine Festival is a celebration of great food and delicious pairings with some of California’s best wines. Wine Flights are available throughout the park, and tasting seminars help guests to develop their palates.

Celebrity chefs teach free lessons on how to cook, and even greet guests and sign books. Other seminars cover various aspects of food prep and offer knowledge on how to distinguish different types of beers. The alcohol-based courses always include tasting as part of the learning experience.

In addition to all the hands-on learning, there are kiosks all over the park that serve small plates and pairing suggestions. It’s a fantastic time for any foodie, and it’s right in the middle of all of the theme park fun.

DISNEYLAND AFTER DARK

The best of the best is the Disneyland After Dark Hard Ticket Event. When these nights become available, it is like a dream come true. Guests with tickets to the After Dark event are allowed into Disneyland a few hours before the park closes and then get to stay after for an event that includes free food, themed menu items, special entertainment and select attractions with little, or no wait times.

Getting to experience Disneyland like this is an excellent way to celebrate with friends or family and add some extra magic to your evening.
