Citrus Lane – 29 Month Old Box – June 2014

You know that I love receiving and sharing my Citrus Lane boxes with you. It’s always a good day when the mailman brings my Citrus Lane box and leave it on my doorstep. I live in such an amazing neighborhood that its perfectly safe to do that. I don’t talk much about my home state but it really is a beautiful place to live with great views and even greater weather. With summer here I’ve been outdoors quite a lot and I have been loving it. Now back to my Citrus Lane box. For my regular readers who have been following my blog, I have been receiving my Citrus Lane boxes for over a year and I have to say that I have yet to be disappointed. For the new ones just visiting and who have no idea what Citrus Lane is all about, let me break it down for you. Citrus Lane is subscription box service for newborns up to age 5. Each month we received a personally curated box filled with age appropriate goodies. There are three subscription levels: $29/monthly, $24/month for a 3 month subscription and $21/month for a 6 month subscription. You can check out what I got in my 28 month old box in May.  Now without further ado lets see what I got this month. I know you’re as curious as I am.

Citrus Lane doesn’t spoil the surprise so I have to actually wait until my box arrives before I know what’s on the inside. There is always a “Hello Card” on the inside of each box and this month it read:

Hello from Citrus Lane. The Summer season is officially upon us here at Citrus Lane, and we hope that you and your little one are having fun being able to spend a bit more time outside! We hope you enjoy the items we selected for your box – an adorable wet bag from Bumkins, an award wining puzzle from Mudpuppy, a new snack from Plum Organics, and a treat for mom.

I opened my box and was pleasantly surprised at what was on the inside. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on those snacks Plum Organic and that puzzle that Citrus Lane mentioned in the card. Now on to our goodies.

Wet Bag from Bumkins – Minnie Spring – $14.95

We found that this versatile wet bag has become one of our favorite things. Great for keeping an extra change of clothes accesible, and for storing a wet outfit or bathing suit after a dip in the pool (or after an accident while out and about). Made from Bumkins easy wipe waterproof fabric. PVC, BPA, phthalate, vinyl and lead free. Use code CitrusLane14 for 35% off at bumkins.com thru 9/30/2014.

How did Citrus Lane know that Minnie Mouse was my favorite Disney character in the entire world. I’m addicted to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Minnie Mouse. Whenever we go to the Disney Store I always leave with a new item of hers. This is going in my diaper bag for those days when we go to the park and other places and I get dirty. Thank you Citrus Lane!

Pouch Puzzle from Mudpuppy – Ballerinas – $10.99

These award-winning 12 Piece Puzzles are designed with extra-thick pieces, so they’re a great introduction to a jig saw puzzle. We like the colorful artwork and the reusable pouch to keep all of the pieces together. We’re sending this a little early, so you may need t help your little one at first. Use code CITRUS2014 for 30% off, plus free ground shipping at chroniclebooks.com 12/31/2014 (exclues personalized gifts).

This was another hit with me. I love puzzles and can’t enough of them. When I got this I had to have it opened immediately. I needed just a bit of help but I was actually able to do this on my own. I have been doing puzzles for quite some time on my own but this was my first 12 piece puzzle.

Zoo Straw Bottle from Skip Hop – 12oz – $5.99

At some point during the toddler and preschool years, little ones move on from sippy cups. The Zoo Straw Bottle helps ease this transition by giving little ones a “big-kid cup” with the protection of a flip-top lid. Dishwasher-safe; also comes with an extra straw and a velcro strap to easily attach to a back pack, diaper bag, or stroller. Be sure to check out adorable coordinating items in our shop.

I am one of those toddlers who transitioned at a very young age. I stopped using the bottle when I was a year old and went to a sippy cup but stopped using one by the time I was about 15 months old. I much preferred using straws. I have a few of these but I really love Skip Hop products and this is no exception. This holds 12 ounces of liquid so I won’t be thirsty for long.

Mighty 4 Bars from Plum Organics – $1.50

Might 4™ essential nutrition bars are baked with whole grains, fruits, veggies and a touch of yogurt – 4 food groups are represented in every bar! These yummy, organic bars pack a mighty punch with 11 essential vitamins & minerals and 5 grams of whole grains. And they’re sized just right for your little on-the-go eater. Use code CLMighty4Bar at shop.plumorganics.com thru 8/31/2014.

I couldn’t wait to give this a try. This was another item that mommy had to open for me right away. I have to tell you that these were amazing and that I finished them both in less than five minutes. Citrus Lane also included a coupon for these and mommy plans on looking for them at our next trip to Whole Foods or Target where we buy Plum Organics products.

Special Offer from Third Love

Founded by a mom, ThirdLove takes the effort (and embarrassment) out of bra shopping. Download their free app so you can have an up to date fitting in the privacy of your home, and then go online and select from a beautiful selection of styles. Use the code on the enclosed insert to take $20 off your purchase of $40 or more at thirdlove.com 8/31/2014.

This was the mommy treat and while mommy didn’t mind getting it she said she won’t be using it. She would have preferred if I had gotten a book instead of this. Now if any of my readers is interested in getting the unique coupon just send us a message via our Facebook page.

The total of my box this month wasn’t that much of a savings but I loved everything I received. The grand total based on Amazon prices was $33.43, not including my $20 coupon for Third Love. You can get your own Citrus Lane subscription by using our invitation and get 50% off your very first box. A great box of goodies for $14.50. Doesn’t get any better than that and I know you’ll love your box as much as I do every month.
