First before I go into the product let me tell you about set up. It is fairly easy to set up but it does require a screwdriver, hammer and a wrench while daddy had. This time daddy was the one who set this one up. It took daddy about 10 minutes to set it up because the illustration instructions were pretty easy to follow. It is made of heavy duty plastic so don’t be afraid of setting it up.
Now the Ride 2 Glide is exactly as the names suggests. It is recommended for ages 1 – 4 years and grows with your little one. For the younger ones who aren’t able to scoot around, the Ride 2 Glide starts off as a ride on toy. It does have 3 wheels instead of 2 for stability and I have to say that converting it to a 3 wheel scooter was super easy. You don’t even need tools. Simply snap it off from the back and move it to the front.
Once your little is old enough, the scooter because of the 3 wheels helps your little one learn balance and coordination. Your little one can then glide along. The base is also a little wider than most scooters which makes it perfect for beginners.
One thing that I really loved was the storage basket that was included. It can be rotated and can be used in both stages of play. I was able to put my juice boxes, toys, fruit snacks, whatever my little heart desired whenever I went gliding along.
