December 2013 Citrus Lane 23 Month Old Box

It’s December the last month of the year and Citrus Lane pulled no stops in getting our box to us early. This was supposed to be posted yesterday but due to our upcoming trip mommy was not around much yesterday. What are the odds that both our Citrus Lane and Bluum boxes would show up on the exact same day as well. I’m not quite 23 months old as yet but Citrus Lane caters their boxes for the month. This is my 23 month old box and I’m so excited to be sharing this with you. For those who have never heard of Citrus Lane before, let me tell you all about it. Citrus Lane is a monthly box subscription service for newborns up to age 5. The boxes are also tailored to your child’s age and you never know what you’ll receive. It’s like getting a surprise every month in the mail just for me. For those interested in reading what we got in our last box you can read all about our November Citrus Lane box.

This month our box was pretty festive. It had snowflakes and represented the holidays. I was so excited to see what was in the inside. A pretty outside more than likely meant a pretty inside right?

Every month Citrus Lanes sends a card describing everything that we receive and this month was no exception.

Our card read:

Hello from Citrus Lane! The holidays are a time for making great memories, so we’ve sent you a beautiful keepsake craft to capture this year’s wonderful memories for years to come! We’ve also included a classic rainbow stacker for your little one to play with and a fantastic book for you to read when you’re cuddled up together. We can’t wait to see you next year. Happy Holidays!

Citrus Lane has been constantly surprising us and I have to say that they have also been one of our favorite boxes to receive. I can’t wait to see what next year brings!

Handprint Art Kit from Pearhead – $14.95

pearhead.com

Designed exclusively for Citrus Lane, this kit from Pearhead allows you to capture your child’s handprint on canvas. Little ones grow so fast and if you’ve been meaning to do this but haven’t had a chance, it’s not too late. Sized generously enough to fit two hands, so you can choose to do a mommy and me or sibling project. And if you make a mistake, no problem. Just rinse the wet pain off, blog the canvas dry, and try again. Use code CLH13 for 20% off all items at pearhead.com thru 12/31/2013.

I had my hand prints done when I was a baby. I don’t consider myself a baby any longer. It will be fun to see the difference between handprints now that I’m older. I can’t wait to use this. Mommy says that we’ll save this for my second birthday. I can’t wait to show it to you!

Rainbow Stacker from Melissa & Doug – $7.99

MelissaAndDoug.com

This classic toy brings us back to our childhood. It’s from Melissa & Doug, so it’s no surprise that the quality is outstanding. Made of smooth wood in bright colors that are easy to grasp, each piece stacks atop a rocking base. Not only does this toy encourage stacking – an important skill that begins to emerge around 18 months – later on, it can be used to teach your little one about colors and size differentiation.  Use code THANKYOU for 15% off any order at MelissaAndDoug.com thru 01/31/2014.

Now what would be the odds that I would receive this in not only my Citrus Lane but my Bluum box as well. I love stacking toys and most toys in general. I may not be able to stack correctly all the time but I do come pretty close. This is certainly great to teach colors as well and I’m a very fast learner. I love Melissa and Doug toys and this is super awesome!

I Took the Moon for a Walk from Barefoot Books – $7.99

barefootbooks.com

For parents looking for a bedtime story that is well written and beautifully illustrated, this book doesn’t disappoint. It captures the magical journey of a young boy and his adventure with his friend the moon after everyone else has fallen asleep. Not only will it get you a little teary-eyed, it will also help your little one overcome their fear of the dark. We especially like the educational notes about the moon.

I just love it when Citrus Lane include books. I’m an avid reader. Well I love being read to since I can’t read but I do pretend that I can at times. The illustrations were beautifully done in this book and mommy and I will be reading this one as well. You can never have too many books!

Snuggly Lotion from Episencial – $7

epicensial.com

We love partnering with Episencial because they use organic ingredients and the entire line is safe for children and good for the planet. The cold winter months can leave skin dry and chapped, so it’s really important to hydrate and nourish with a non-greasy lotion like this. Borage seed oil boosts skin’s immunity, while avocado, flax and primrose oils soften. It’s concentrated, too, so you only need a little to do the trick. Use code SWEETCITRUS for $5 off a purchase of $50 or more at epicensial.com thru 01/15/2014

It’s winter which means that my skin is becoming dryer and dryer so I was grateful that Citrus Lane though about adding this to my December box. They do think of all the good stuff. Episencial makes great products and this one is going right into my diaper bag. It’s the perfect size and just because it says baby, it’s also great for adults too!

I am so loving my Citrus Lane box this month! Usually they would include something for mommy as well but this time they didn’t. This was all about me this month. The products were all great and I’m really enjoying my stacker. The total of my box was $37.93. Not bad at all! Thank you Citrus Lane!

Citrus Lane boxes are normally $25 including shipping but if you join today using my link you get $10 off your first box. I can’t wait to see what the new year is going to bring us from Citrus Lane.
