Its Citrus Lane time again and once again we’re reviewing our toddler subscription box. We are rather late with our review having received our box 2 days ago. We’ve been receiving our Citrus Lane boxes for quite a while now and we love them! For those wondering what Citrus Lane is let me tell you all about it. Citrus Lane is a monthly box subscription service for newborns up to age 5. The boxes are tailored to your child’s age and I’m now 21 months old and I get the toddler box. For those interested in reading what we got in our last box you can read about it HERE.
Once again our box came in that delightful Pink instead of the usual yellow. Apparently they’re still celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Month which was in October. They’re also supporting Men’s Health Awareness which is celebrated in the month of November.
As usual Citrus Lane includes a card describing everything that comes in our box making our work so much easier. Mommy and I love easy!
Our card read:
Hello from Citrus Lane! November marks the beginning of the holiday season with Thanksgiving, which means lots of delicious food! We included two new adorable items for mealtime – and something perfect for when your little one wants to mimic mommy in the kitchen! We know how much extra energy the holidays take, so we included something to help get you prepared for the next holiday that’s right around the corner. Happy Turkey Day!
I wonder what that perfect something was and what about that something to help us get prepared for the next holiday. The suspense was killing me and I’m sure it is for you too. So without further ado on to our un-boxing!
Stock Pot & Utensil Set from Green Toys
Made exclusively for Citrus Lane, this set is perfect for pretend play. It also encourages gross – and fine – motor skills as he learns to take the pot lid off, grasp the spatula handle or “scoop” with the ladle. Each piece is made of 100% recycled plastic that’s free from BPA, phthalates or PVC. It’s actually safe to use with real food, too, as the set meets FDA food contact standards (just don’t throw it on the real stove!). Use code CLHOLIDAY13GT for 10% off at shop.greentoys.com thru 1/15/2014.
If I don’t become a ballerina I think I will become a chef. I love pretending to cook. Even my kitty gets placed in my toy kitchen oven. I have quite a few play food for my kitchen so it’s going to be fun trying this out on my pretend stove. Can’t wait to use them! I’m also loving the fact that I can really use them as well with real food. Now that’s an awesome toy!
Zoo Plate from Skip Hop
The problem with most melamine dishes is that you end up with cracks or bubbling designs. You won’t have to worry about that with this plate. It’s super durable and heavy, too. We like how it’s divided into two sections to keep food separate, and if your child has a fit when their food touches, you’ll know exactly why this is important. Plus, Skip Hop’s iconic zoo characters are just the cutest we’ve seen. Keep an eye out for coordinating items for purchase from Citrus Lane! Use code CLNOV13 for 25% off any purchase of $30 or more at skiphop.com thru 12/16/2013.
My room used to be decorated with ladybugs before mommy started her obsession with owls. They weren’t kidding when they said this plate was heavy. It’s really substantial in weight and mommy and I really loved the divided sections. This is the perfect plate for toddlers. Now we just have to see how it stands up to being dropped over and over again.
Bops from Good Boy Organics
It can be hard to find yummy, gluten-free snacks, so we are excited to be able to share these fun, 3-D dinosaur shaped treats with you. They’re also the only certified USDA organic cheese puff in America, free from all those yucky preservatives and trans fat, too. Best of all, they’re baked, not fried, so you can totally put aside the guilt if you happen to find yourself grabbing a handful.
We got some of Good Boy Organics snacks in our box last month and this month’s once again was super yummy. I really enjoyed them. Snacks are usually one of the first thing that I grab from my Citrus Lane box and so far we’ve not been disappointed in the selection. I’m really loving these Good Boy Organic snacks and these Organicasaurus were totally delicious. They were also shaped like little dinosaurs making them an even better treat!
Reusable Snack Bags from Bumkins
These reusable snack bags are an eco-friendly alternative to plastic baggies. Made from teh same easy-wipe waterproof fabric as Bumkins bibs, so you can wash them in the sink and they will be dry in just a matter of hours. Or toss them in the washer for a more thorough cleaning. Use in lunch boxes or on-the-go, you name it. Use code CITRUSLANE13 for 35% off at bumkins.com thru 12/31/2013.
I always have a snack whenever I’m going out so mommy and I will be keeping these in our baby bags. We love that they’re re-usable and also washable. What a great way to protect the environment by reusing and I also love that they will stay clean as well.
Lip Comfort from Pur~lisse
Winter can be especially harsh on your lips, leaving them cracked and dry. This is one product that your purse and nightstand will never be without. It’s a petroleum-free, nourishing lip balm formulated with shea and mango butters, vegetable butters and jojoba oils that really hydrate. Moms also love using pur~lisse Lip Comfort under lipstick to enhance the color and leave a smooth finish that’s glossy, never greasy. Use code CITRUSLANE20 for 20% off at purlisse.com thru 12/31/2013.
This was a treat for mommy. With winter being here our lips have already started getting dry and I now have lip balm included in my diaper bag. I’m currently using eos which mommy and I love. Mommy has never tried this before but will be giving it a try. With all the ingredients listed it sounds like a really great lip balm and it states that it was great for all skin types as well. It came in this really neat pouch as well. Super cute!
Four Sets of Address Labels & Free Shipping from Tiny Prints
We love Tiny Prints for their beautiful designs and fantastic customer service. Enjoy four free sets of address labels (96 total), plus free shipping on your order – just in time for sending out holiday greetings. Requires $99 minimum purchase, so pair with an order of holiday cards, personal stationary, or thank you notes.
Mommy and I were very disappointed with this. Sure we would love to have the free labels but with a $99 minimum purchase requirement we don’t see ourselves getting this at all. Actually we don’t think this is a deal at all. Shame on you Tiny Prints for requiring such a high minimum purchase requirement. Free should be free!
Now besides that Tiny Prints bummer I really do love my Citrus Lane subscription. This is definitely a keeper and I can’t wait to see what we get next month. We’re heading to Canada for Christmas so I hope our box comes before we leave. Little fingers crossed. Mommy once again did another little video for Citrus Lane check it out!
Citrus Lane boxes are normally $25 including shipping but if you join today using my invite you get $10 off your first box. We are definitely looking forward to receiving next months box. After all it’s going to be Christmas and I can’t wait to see what Santa puts in our box.
