Citrus Lane – 27 Month Old Box – April 2014

Another post that’s way overdue especially since it’s now May. I have to admit that Citrus Lane is one of my most go to link on my blog. While you my regular readers enjoy checking out what I’ve received to review for the new mommies and even daddies, according to my google analytics stats, my subscription boxes keeps bringing new readers who want to know what subscription boxes are all about. Apparently subscription boxes are a hit and I have a treat for you this week from another subscription box company! Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription box service for newborns up to age 5. Each month your box comes filled with goodies tailored to your little one’s age and gender. If you are interested in seeing what we got in my 26 month box, you can check out my Citrus Lane March Box.

As is always the case with Citrus Lane, enclosed in our box is a Hello Card as I like to call it and my card read:

Spring has (finally) spring! Thank goodness. Earth Day is this month, so we selected some of our products from partners who focus on eco-friendly design, and items that just seemed to give a nod to the changing season – we hope you and your little one will get out and about after the long winter and enjoy everything we’ve chosen for you.

I was super excited after seeing the card and after opening my box I must say. Everything in there was something that I knew I would just absolutely love and if I didn’t love it, then mommy would. So without further ado, here’s what we received in April’s Citrus Lane’s box.

Flower Set from Green Toys

shop.greentoys.com

This flower set was custom made for Citrus Lane to help encourage pretend play! Little florist (or gardeners) can arrange lilies, petunias, and daises, stacking them onto the stems in different configurations. Made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic milk jugs, free from BPA, phthalates, PVC or external coatings. Use code CITRUSLANE10 for 10% off at shop.greentoys.com thru 5/15/2014.

Just like Citrus Lane I love Green Toys and you may not remember this but I actually did a Green Toys Review for this very product. Now I have extra flowers to make my flower garden even bigger. Perfect for the springs since mommy doesn’t have a green thumb.

Set of 2 Tumblers from Green Eats

shop.greentoys.com

Sometime around 2 or 3 years old, your little one will master drinking from a non-sippy cup. These tumblers from Green Easts are a great first cup, and until your child is ready you may want to steal it for yourself. Made from 100% recycled plastic milk containers. Contains no melamine, BPA, phthalates, PVC, or external coatings. Dishwasher safe. Use code CITRUSLANE10 for 10% off at shop.greentoys.com thru 5/15/2014.

I guess I must have been pretty fast when it comes to drinking from a “regular” cup because I’ve been doing that way before I turned two. These are very substantial and mommy and I both loved them. I can’t wait to get to use them and they’ll be used regularly.

Prince’s Bedtime Book & CD Set from Barefoot Books

barefootbooks.com

Many preschoolers (and parents) will identify with this story about a prince who refuses to go to sleep, despite the best efforts of everyone in the kingdom. This beautiful book also includes a storytime CD with two versions of the story – one with a page-turn chimes to encourage early readers. Use code CITRUSLANE40 for 40% off select books at barefootbooks.com/citruslane thru 5/15/2014.

Oh yeah I can surely relate to this book. Mommy usually have a hard time getting me to go to bed at nights at times and so I couldn’t wait to read this. Having the CD for when I’m older is also great. I love Barefoot Books and I’ve gotten a few through Citrus Lane and I can’t wait to get more.

Lemon Verbena Dish Soap from Mrs. Meyers Clean Day

mrsmeyers.com

The fresh smell of this dish soap almost makes you feel like you’re at the spa instead of doing dishes (a mom can dream). The concentrated formula for hand washing dishes includes Soap Bark Extract, one of nature’s best degreasers. Rinses clean.

This is a mommy product since I’m too young to wash dishes. Maybe when I’m older it will be one of my chore. Having an eco-friendly kitchen product mommy said was great and she will be using it.

Greeting Card Offer from Treat

treat.com

You’ll never go to the card store again after you see how easy (and pretty) Treat cards are. Create personalized greetings, add photos, nicknames, inside jokes, and more. Be as creative as you want, or let Treat do the work for you. Enjoy your first card for free with your unique code printed on the insert.

With Mothers Day right around the corner it was really nice of Citrus Lane to include this. My mommy’s birthday is the day after Mothers Day so it will be a double celebration. This will be perfect because now I can get her a free card. It’s the thought that counts right?

I loved my Citrus Lane box and as usual it was a hit for me. Every product was something that I could use and I do intend on using them all. A subscription is $25 which includes shipping but if you join today using my referral link you will get $10 off your first box. How is that for a great deal? My May box will be here soon and this time you’ll get to see it on day one right along with me. I hope you enjoyed my April box as much as I did.
