3 Easy Ways I Make My Heart Happy

I haven't been everywhere, but it's on my list.

This post is sponsored by Honey Nut Cheerios, but all opinions are mine alone.

There are few things I love besides my family, and one of them is traveling. Visiting a new place, national or international, solo or with someone else is something I enjoy, along with interacting with the locals and immersing in the culture.  However, that won't be possible if I don't have a healthy heart.

It takes a healthy heart to make the millions of steps usually done exploring when I'm traveling, but it also takes a healthy heart to travel. I also need to be healthy and happy to enjoy the countries that I want to visit. That's why this initiative by Honey Nut Cheerios to inspire happy hearts is right up my alley.

So what are the ways that I make sure that my heart is happy and healthy?

1. EAT A HEART HEALTHY BREAKFAST
I have always advocated for eating breakfast in the morning. We've all heard that it's the most important meal of the day. However, notice that I didn't just say that I eat breakfast, but instead, a heart-healthy breakfast. One way to do so is by eating whole grain oat foods like Honey Nut Cheerios. Eating three grams of soluble fiber daily can help lower your cholesterol as part of a heart-healthy diet, and Honey Nut Cheerios provides 0.75 grams of soluble fiber per serving. Three grams of soluble fiber are recommended daily.

2. EXERCISE
Exercise comes in many forms and doesn't always have to include the gym. Or maybe you'd prefer to save the fee that comes with a gym membership. Here are a few easy ways I exercise without even touching the gym. Walking has always been something I enjoyed. I embrace walking around the cities of the places I visit. I take brisk walks around the neighborhood and ride my bike when the weather is excellent. You can also find me outside playing with Madison, who enjoys the one on one time with me. To keep track of the exercises I've done throughout the day, and the foods I eat, I use the app My Fitness Pal to help me with my fitness goals.

Honey Nut Cheerios wants to encourage people to adopt simple, fun behaviors that get them active like walking the dog, playing with grandkids or joining a group fitness class.

You can join the Cheerios Whole Heart Challenge on MyFitnessPal for the chance to win prizes and participate in fun challenges that will help your entire lifestyle.

3. MEDITATE AND TAKE CARE OF ME
While ensuring the happiness of my family is always at the forefront, I also need to take care of myself and make sure that I'm happy. Happiness starts from within, and you can't make others happy if you're not. While I enjoy traveling around the world, I realize that my family is an essential part of my life. Not money or fame or any of those things. I've found time to meditate and focus on my life and my life-long dreams and aspirations. Sometimes you need to take a step back, breathe in and exhale, let go of the negativity and take care of yourself both mentally and physically.

According to the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), nearly 1 in 3 American adults have high cholesterol.  But did you know that those with high cholesterol have a much higher risk (twice the risk) of acquiring heart disease compared to those with lower levels?  That's why medical experts recommend practicing healthy habits. Healthy habits such as maintaining a healthy weight, getting enough physical activity, and eating a heart-healthy diet.

Making my heart happy makes me happy, and I implore you to join the Cheerios Whole Heart Challenge on MyFitnessPal and make your heart happy too!

Tips to Plan Your Ideal Trip to New Zealand

Everyone who has watched Lord of the Rings is familiar with the beauty of New Zealand. A trip to New Zealand is a travelers dream vacation! For some, it is the stunning natural formations or the incredible Maori culture and heritage that draws them to New Zealand. For some, it is the world-famous vineyards and culinary delights. So, are you ready to go to New Zealand? Here are some tips that will help you to plan an ideal trip to New Zealand.

BEST TIME TO VISIT NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand showcases a different hue in every season, each more vibrant than the previous one. If you are not Australian, the seasons of New Zealand might confuse you. The summer season is from December to February, and it is arguably the best season for a trip to New Zealand. Of course, that also means that this season is the busiest one in the tourist calendar of the country. Fiery orange and red hues dominate the natural spectrum during the Fall season in March, April, and May. Skiing opportunities open up from June to August, the winter season. The spring season is the most colorful. Bright flowers and verdant greens dominate the valleys from September to November.

PLACES TO VISIT IN NEW ZEALAND
Get your maps out; we have an itinerary to make! The largest city in New Zealand, Auckland is the hub of culture, art, and cuisine. From fjords to mountains and waterfalls, Milford Sound has all it takes to astonish nature enthusiasts. The Bay of Islands offers many watersports and stunning views. It is also an excellent place to observe diverse marine life. If you love the occasional adrenaline rush, Queenstown is the place to be for you! From bungee jumping to river rafting and skiing, this place offers you a plethora of adventure sports. If you have never visited an active volcano, you cannot miss White Island! A trip to Waitomo Glowworm Caves will make you believe in magic. Mount Cook is a must-go. Not only is it the tallest mountain in New Zealand, but it also has the most magnificent glaciers and valleys. A trip to New Zealand is incomplete without a swim at the gorgeous Owharoa Falls and Whangarei Falls. These places are still just the tip of the iceberg. New Zealand has so much more to offer! Keep exploring.

THE BEST THINGS TO DO IN NEW ZEALAND
A vacation in New Zealand means that you will have plenty of opportunities to check tons of activities off your bucket list. You can fall off the clouds as you skydive in Auckland or Queenstown. Get the wind in your hair as your jet boat or river raft down the fast-flowing rivers of Queenstown. Caving in New Zealand's Waitomo Caves can be a memorable experience. You can also go canyoning in Coromandel and Wanaka, or zip-lining on the West Coast. Skiing is a popular adventure-sport during the winter. You can also take a hike through many spectacular mountains in New Zealand. New Zealand is home to some of the darkest and most light pollution-free skies in the world, which means that it is a haven for stargazing. Here, constellations and shooting stars make the night sky a glittering vision. During the winters, you can also spot the vibrant Aurora Australis which paints the night sky in tones of green and pink.

TRAVELING IN NEW ZEALAND ON A BUDGET
A trip to New Zealand can be pretty expensive. Domestic flights in New Zealand can hit your budget too. Luckily, there are many ways to get around New Zealand without spending too much. There are plenty of buses on every route here! Hop-on/ Hop-off buses run by the Kiwi Experience and Stray Travels are a popular choice for hitchhikers. The people of New Zealand are very amicable; it is easy to get a lift on roads. You can also rent a car or campervan if you plan on traveling a lot and have a large group. Stack up your luggage on easy to find roof racks for cars that would enable you to place all your extra luggage easily. New Zealand also has three trains if flights are too expensive for you.

WINING AND DINING IN NEW ZEALAND
New Zealand is a gastronomical universe full of delicious culinary opportunities for food connoisseurs. Surprisingly, New Zealand serves delectable Indian food at popular modern bistros. Try out street food at a farmer's market. Do not miss the famous Kiwi white flat coffee. Scintillate your tastebuds with unique seafood all along the coasts of New Zealand. If you love cooking, taking a Maori cooking class might be a fun experience! Home to world-renowned vineyards, New Zealand serves some of the world's best wine! Combine tasty food and wine with fun and entertainment, and you get the popular food and wine festivals of New Zealand! Indulge yourself at Taste of Auckland, Whitianga Scallop Festival, Marlborough Food and Wine Festival, and Hokitika Wildfoods Festival.

These tips will help you to choose the best time to visit New Zealand. They will help you to decide which tourist spots to hit and which ways of commute to use. Treat your eyes to breath-taking views of nature in its most pristine form, and your tongue to flavors so tangy that they make the mouth water. Do not limit yourself to the things to do mentioned here; New Zealand is full of opportunities to have fun.

What to Know Before You Go to Paris ~ #TravelTuesday #VisitParis

Planning a trip to Paris, the City of Lights, can be absolutely exhilarating. After all, the city holds a spot on many travelers’ bucket lists, and for good reason. Whether you’re looking for a vacation filled with culture, a culinary-inspired experience, or a romantic getaway, you’ll find what you’re looking for in Paris.

While many of us feel like we understand what we’re going to experience in Paris, based on what we’ve seen in films and on television, there are a few things that might catch the average visitor by surprise. Don’t head into your Paris vacation unprepared. Instead, equip yourself with these nice-to-know pieces of info to eliminate some unnecessary surprises.

Here are a few things that are good to know before you go to Paris:

MANY PEOPLE SPEAK ENGLISH - IF YOU ASK NICELY
The Parisians have a reputation for rudeness toward tourists, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find my experience has directly contradicted that. While there are certainly shopkeepers, bartenders, and regular people who can only speak French, many of the folks you’ll encounter in restaurants, popular stores, and tourist attractions are well-versed, if not fluent, in English. As long as you ask politely, in French, you’ll find many of your communication barriers can disappear.

KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED FOR SCAMS AND PICKPOCKETS
Like any big city, Paris is home to its fair share of unsavory citizens hoping to make a quick buck on an unsuspecting tourist. It’s always a good idea to keep a close eye on your belongings, but it’s especially important in Metro stations, near major landmarks, and anywhere where crowds are likely to congregate.

If someone approaches you on the street or on public transit attempting to show you (or sell you) anything, it’s best to politely decline or ignore them.

KEEP COINS ON HAND FOR RESTROOMS
While you won’t have to pay extra to use the toilet in restaurants you’re dining at, in many other places, be prepared to pay to use the restroom. Toilets in train stations, bus depots, public parks, and other spots are typically staffed by someone responsible for collecting a small fee from folks hoping to use the facilities.

BRING A WATER BOTTLE
This one is especially important if you’re planning to visit during the summer months, which can get quite warm. Staying hydrated is important, but in Paris, it isn’t always easy. You won’t find as many public drinking fountains as you’ll find in other places, and many restaurants will charge you for water - and once you pay, provide a fixed quantity instead of unlimited refills.

Instead of continually combating thirst, bring a water bottle from home or buy one when you arrive. Fill it up at your hotel, or with water purchased from a local grocer, for a cheap and easy way to keep thirst at bay as you break a sweat exploring the city.

These are just a few tips you won’t find in most guidebooks that’ll help you make your Paris vacation an easy, enjoyable experience for your whole family. Equipped with this list of things to know before you go, you’ll be ready for some of the things that catch many travelers by surprise - and, in some cases, put a damper on the whole vacation experience.

Dressing for Comfort & Style This Summer

Let’s face it, dressing well in incredible heat is not an easy task. Either you look perfect for work and are internally, and probably externally, burning up, or you feel uncomfortably informal but not overheated. Finding a happy medium may feel nearly impossible. The good news is, making this summer your best dressed season is entirely possible with a few helpful tips and tricks.

AT WORK
Quite possibly, the trickiest situation is balancing professionalism with comfort. Between balancing keeping it classy and keeping cool, summer work clothing takes thought. It’s best to start out feeling free of restrictions. Think outside of the box, and understand what fabrics will work best in the heat. Some suggestions?

  • Midi-skirts are your new best friend. Sometimes wearing slacks or pants is unbearable in the warmth. Even our A/C pumped offices can become full-sized saunas. That’s where the midi-skirt comes in. These hit right below the knee, meaning you won’t have to worry about moving around and accidentally showing a little too much skin at the office. Never worry again about pulling down a hiked up skirt, or feeling like you’re boiling in your pant legs. Not only do Midi’s give you that professional look, but they dress up a casual cotton shirt or blouse.
  • Loose fabrics make all the difference. If you love the button-up shirt and pant look, keep it cool with loose, airy fabrics. Try out a wide-leg trouser pants and a flowy blouse. Get that air flowing from the start of your day till you leave the office.
  • Never underestimate the power of the white button-up. The white button-up will forever be a classic. Although they can be tough to keep clean, it’s relatively easy to keep the stress of the day invisible in the underarm region.

YOUR DAY OFF
Away from the office is a perfect excuse to get fun with your summer outfits and still stay comfortable. Try out new things, seek out new textures, and see what works for you.

  • Jumpsuits are in, and they are surprisingly comfortable. There’s nothing better than putting on one article of clothing and getting your day started. And because jumpsuits are having a moment, ease and comfort won’t mean compromising style. Dress it up with a sleek updo, light blazer, a pair of flats, and there you have it. A full look with minimal effort.
  • Swap the skinny jeans for a nice pair of shorts. Some people are able to wear jeans all year long, and to those individuals I say kudos. However, not all of us are so fortunate. Swap out those jeans for breathable nylon, rayon, or cotton shorts. Keep them simple or bright, wear them with or without tights, and let your legs bask in the glory of the summer sun. But, of course, wear sunscreen.

TRAVEL
Packing for a summer trip can be a doozy. Traveling light, staying cozy, and keeping a stylish look can be a complicated combination. That’s why it’s important to:

  • Pack with a purpose! Bring summer clothes that you’re sure will work for multiple occasions if you’re trying to pack light. If you’re able to pack a few complete outfits, pack a mixture of casual pieces and more formal attire.
  • Versatility is key. If you can use those pieces in multiple ways, you’ll save yourself packing space and trouble. Travel with versatile classics whenever possible. Pieces like a maxi dress, wrap dress, your favorite cotton tee, and a pair of warm weather leggings can go a long way.
  • Don’t worry about looking like a travel slob. When traveling in the heat of the summer, prioritizing your comfort isn’t a negative thing. Keep your more “dressed up” items in your luggage, where they can stay wrinkle-free, clean, and free of strange travel aromas. If you want to make the most out of your casual travel attire, use comfortable accessories to give your look more pizzaz.

It may take a bit of patience, but you can find comfortable summer pieces that will carry you through those “too hot for life” sort of days. When the weather cools back down, be sure to take your clothes to a dry cleaner (if necessary), give them a good final wash at home, and store them properly until next summer. That way, you can utilize those trusted summer pieces for years to come.

Five Great Mother-Daughter Trips To Take In Europe

Traveling to Europe for a mother-daughter vacation can be the perfect way to make memories and strengthen your bond with your daughter. Spending a week or two in an unfamiliar place, overcoming obstacles and navigating new territory, will undoubtedly bring you closer, and you’ll have lots of fond memories to reflect on long after your trip is over.

However, the success of your trip will largely depend on your destination. Pick the wrong city, and you’ll find yourself bored, over budget, or otherwise unhappy with your experience. It’s important to put some thought into your vacation spot and make sure the two of you will be happy with your choice.

Looking for some inspiration for your mother-daughter Europe trip? Here are a few spots you can consider visiting together:

FLORENCE, ITALY
If you’ve always dreamed of visiting Italy, consider planning a mother-daughter trip to Florence. It’s home to some of the world’s most well-known works of art, like Michelangelo's David, and you can easily spend a week exploring the museums and historic sites in the city.

Rather shop ‘til you drop or spend your days strolling the streets, people-watching and simply enjoying the atmosphere? You can do that too. And you’ll both enjoy eating your way through the city’s impressive restaurant scene.

PARIS, FRANCE
Who doesn’t dream of a trip to Paris? Easy to navigate and offering endless options for fun and entertainment, it’s the perfect spot for mother-daughter duos. You can shop for shoes or sweet indulgences, treat yourself to a luxurious day spa experience, book a photographer for an impromptu (or well-planned)  photo shoot, or do just about anything else you can dream of - after all, you’re in the City of Lights!

Don’t forget to add a day trip to Versailles to your itinerary. This famous palace, known for its ornately manicured gardens and gilded interior, is the perfect place to channel your inner royal - or enjoy a picnic lunch!

AMSTERDAM, NETHERLANDS
For a friendly, down-to-earth experience in one of Europe’s most beautiful cities, plan a trip to Amsterdam. You’ll both love strolling the cobbled streets, or if you’re feeling adventurous, exploring the city by bicycle (the favorite local method of transportation). Shop for antiques, local goods, and flowers at one of the city’s many open-air markets, or visit during the holiday season to enjoy the charming Christmas markets that pop up throughout the city.

REYKJAVIK, ICELAND
If you’re looking for a chance to embrace your adventurous side, consider a girls’ trip to Iceland. From Reykjavik, the country’s capital, you can set out on numerous excursions to hike, ride horses and ATV’s, tour lava fields, and witness some of the most stunning views you’ll find anywhere. You can also kick back and relax in the Blue Lagoon and, depending on when you choose to visit, may be able to catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

BARCELONA, SPAIN
Rather spend a week on the beach, soaking up the sun and catching up on your latest read? Head to Barcelona, where you can do precisely that - and so much more. You’ll both love exploring the city, admiring the architecture and indulging in tapas and other tasty bites. Try your hand at something new and sign up for a cooking class or dance lesson while you’re there!

As you can see, there are lots of options for your mother-daughter vacation, depending on how you’d enjoy spending your time together. Put some thought into how you’d like to get away and have some fun, then make it happen!

How to Teach Your Children to Care For Their Wellbeing

As parents, there are so many things to keep track of when it comes to raising your children and looking out for their wellbeing. It seems like as soon as you have a handle on one aspect of parenting, you realize there is another area that you are slacking in. It's a lot to keep track of! You want your children to grow up to be well rounded and healthy individuals, so how do you do that?

LET YOUR CHILDREN DO CHORES
Children benefit from helping out with household chores. It teaches them responsibility, as well as prepares them to take care of themselves when they are living on their own as adults. If they never have to sweep the floor, wash a dish, or make breakfast, they will be absolutely clueless when they have to do these things on their own. A lot of parents want to provide a great life for their child, so they take care of these chores on their own so their child can thrive in the other things that they're doing, but in actuality, this is doing your children a disservice. As soon as they're able, have them help out with simple chores. This is often a lot earlier than you realize! Teach them to put their trash in the waste bin, put their dirty clothes in the hamper, and make their beds in the morning from as young as 1.

ENTRUST THEM WITH THEIR OWN HYGIENE
You're responsible for your child being clean and presentable whenever you leave, but it's easy to lean into that a little too much and never let your young child have a chance to learn how to take care of their bodies. When they show an interest, let them wash themselves in the bath, brush their own teeth, and style their own hair. This isn't an excuse for them to become grimy, but a chance for them to learn appropriate ways to take care of themselves. It's okay for you to check their teeth when they're done to make sure they got it all, aid them with their hair, and check behind their ears in the bath. This also teaches them that there is a standard of cleanliness that they should be meeting.

KEEP AN OPEN DIALOGUE
There are too many difficult conversations that, as a parent, you are expected to have with your children. Knowing the right time to have these conversations is difficult. One of the easiest ways to navigate these conversations, is to try to keep an open dialogue about the difficult things. Answer questions as you receive them, in an age-appropriate way. If they ask about sex, answer their questions. If they have questions about alcohol or other substances, answer them. There doesn't have to be taboo topics, just topics. As long as you respond in age-appropriate ways, your child will learn and won't be afraid to come to you when something uncomfortable happens. Be open about mental health and mental disorders, so they don't feel uncomfortable discussing topics such as anxiety or ADHD. Shame is not the way to raise your children.

MODEL HEALTHY HABITS
Children soak up everything around them like a sponge. You won't even realize how many times you say "sorry" in a day, until your two year old starts apologizing to everyone for everything. It's like looking in a mirror, in the worst possible way. Everything you say and do is observed in a hypercritical way by your children. Which is why it's so important to model healthy habits for your children. Don't talk negatively about your body, or anyone else's. If you would be disappointed to hear something come out of your child's mouth, then don't say it yourself. Exercise regularly, so they know the value of taking care of their bodies. Eat vegetables, read a good book, go on date nights, and give yourself a chance to relax.

The way you live your life will act as a guide for your child as they grow older, so living a life you would want for them is the best way to guarantee they'll be happy and well-rounded adults.

Simple Way I'm Boosting My Teen Son's Confidence ~ #Invisalign

A quick search on my site would bring up numerous articles on helping your kids with their confidence and self-esteem, and you would think that I'd be a professional on the topic, especially with having four kids. I'm however far from being an expert and still need to ask for parental advice, especially with my now 14yr old son Mikael (pronounced Michael).

This post was sponsored by the Invisalign brand and all opinions expressed in my post are my own.

I've been asked numerous times, "Why aren't there more photos of Mikael on your site?" or, "We see a lot of Madison and Kyle, but very little of Mikael, why?" and it's really simple. Mikael is not a fan of having his photo taken because he dislikes smiling for the camera. You see, Mikael has a significant overbite due to his thumb sucking when he was much younger, so he's very self-conscious about his smile. I've gotten used to seeing it, but I can understand as a teenager wanting to look your very best.

About two years ago, my husband and I looked into getting his overbite fixed and looked into the various options. We took him to an orthodontist and were told that it was best to wait until all his permanent teeth came in. We looked at traditional braces and also Invisalign® treatment and found out that the cost of Invisalign clear aligners was often comparable in price to braces, and also that my insurance would cover the cost, just as they would the braces.*

*Treatment costs may vary. Please check with your doctor and insurance provider.

When it came down to it, I didn't want my son feeling even more self-conscious with metal bars on his teeth, the way traditional braces would, and instead told my husband that we were going to go with the Invisalign treatment because I preferred the way they looked. They are nearly transparent, and no one would really be able to tell that he was wearing them.

So granted to say, I was delighted that we were given this opportunity by the Invisalign brand, a few months shy of heading back to the orthodontist.  As a result of my partnership with the brand, Mikael is receiving complimentary treatment.

So you ask how am I helping to boost his confidence? By giving him the best smile ever!

(First, please excuse my cell phone photos, as I was so excited to be taking him in for his consultation that I didn't think to take my camera with me.)

Mikael and I paid a visit to an Invisalign-trained orthodontist and had a consultation to be sure that Invisalign treatment was the right treatment for us, and that it could be done. Great news! It turned out that it was. The orthodontist told us what was going to be done, how it would be done and what to expect. We also learned a bit more about the Invisalign treatment that I didn't know before.

What you should know about the Invisalign treatment:

  • It is the most advanced clear aligner system in the world!
  • Not only is it nearly transparent, but it is also removable, which is perfect for my son. He can take them off to enjoy his favorite foods, brush his teeth, and I won't be worried that he's going to have food stuck in them and that they'd be a pain to remove.
  • Not only can it treat simple cases, but also complex orthodontic cases as well, as in the case of my son's significant overbite. (Extremely noticeable in the below photo.)

What to expect at the consultation:

  • If this is your first visit with the orthodontist be prepared to fill out paperwork about your dental history.
  • Digital X-Rays will be taken.
  • Photos will also be taken from various angles, including full-frontal, side views, etc. of your face.
  • Impressions can be made by putting a form of putty in your mouth, letting it harden, thus forming a dental impression. Another way of starting Invisalign treatment is having highly accurate digital impressions taken through their iTero digital scanner. This can be done instead of the conventional impressions that my son received. Either method can lead to a successful start of Invisalign treatment.
  • All this is done to create a road map for your doctor in order to prepare a treatment plan.

Once all of this is done, you will then get to see what will take place using Invisalign's software. It shows a prediction of how we can expect Mikael's teeth to change over time with the Invisalign treatment, and how long he'll need to wear the aligners.

We were told by our provider that most patients usually have them in for about nine months to a year, but it really all depends on your specific needs and the direction of your provider.

For example in Mikael's case, because of his significant overbite, and also due to the fact that the bottom part of his jaw is smaller than the top, it may take a bit longer than nine months, so we should expect to have his treatment last at least a year.

Mikael's treatment because of his overbite includes Invisalign clear aligners with mandibular advancement feature, which is a great new way to fix teens and tweens overbite while also straightening their teeth. Only Invisalign clear aligners with mandibular advancement feature are made with SmartTrack material and precision wings to push the jaw forward and straighten teeth simultaneously, replacing the need for bulky appliance. Because it will gradually move his jaw forward not only will it improve his bite but also the appearance of his chin giving him that beautiful straight smile that he's been yearning for all his life.

Mikael has never really been a fan of visiting the dentist, but he was really excited to finally get his teeth fixed, get straighter teeth, and show off a killer smile, and so am I.

What about you? Have you been wanting a straighter smile for you or your teen? Consider getting a consultation for Invisalign clear aligners. The Invisalign brand website has an easy to use Doctor Locator feature, which will allow you to search for Invisalign-trained doctors in your area.

Follow along with Mikael’s progress over the year on his path to straighter teeth and increased confidence!

10 Exclusive Disneyland Paris Ears Headbands You Gotta Have ~ #Disney

Have you ever wondered about exclusive Disney Ears Headbands available at Disney theme parks? Today I want to share with you Disneyland Paris Ears Headbands that you should add to your list if you're a collector.

Visiting Disney for many is a treat. However, if there's one accessory that you should/must have while visiting a park, it's your Disney Ears. There are many options available to acquire one. You can purchase one directly from the online Disney Store, purchase in the park (most of them exclusives and only available in the park), or from the many sellers on Etsy who make their own unique specialty ones. You may remember me sharing about how you can choose the right Disney ears for you, as there is a variety to choose from.

Madison and I spent five days recently at Disneyland Paris and were amazed at the different Ear Headbands available that were not available here in the US (both at Walt Disney World and Disneyland), and being the Disney fanatic I am, and also one who loves wearing her ear headband whenever I go to the park, I just had to get them.

So what are the exclusive ears that are available at Disneyland Paris? Since we weren't able to wear them all in the park, I got Madison to model them for my pics, but here are ten you should try and add to your list.

1. Chip n Dale Ears Headband
The French are in love with Chip n Dale, and you can find them around the park for a quick meet and greet, but be warned, the lines can be very long. For memorabilia, consider getting the Chip n Dale ear headband featuring our favorite chipmunks wearing French berets. These were one of Madison's favorite ears although she kept alternating between a few.

2. Timon and Pumbaa Ears Headband
Hakuna Matata - It means no worries for the rest of your days! With the Lion King almost in theater, there's no better way to show your Lion King Pride than with these ears that feature best friends Timon and Pumbaa as soft plushes at the top of the ears. Part of the Lion King collection, they feature on one side Disneyland Paris embroidered while on the other tiny lion paw prints.

3. Simba Ears Headband
Also, part of the Disneyland Paris The Lion King collection, make a roar with the Simba Ear Headband. Featuring two fluffy ears, they are reminiscent of baby Simba. These were Madison's favorite, and I had to bribe her to switch them out as she stated they were the most comfortable ears she has ever worn.

4. Timeless Mickey & Minnie Ear Headband
Quite possibly the easiest ear to find in the park and one of the most popular. The vintage comic all-over print of Mickey and Minnie Mouse throughout the ears along with the classic bow gives it that timeless classic look. This one was actually my favorite and also has Disneyland Paris printed along the side of the headband.

5. Minnie Polka Dot Ear Headband
So you're doing a double-take with this one because you're thinking, "Hey, we have that bow online and at the park," and I thought the same thing too until Madison pointed out that the one we have at the park and the Disney Store is actually opposite to this one and has a polka dot bow with black ears. While this does feature Minnie's signature polka dots, the padded bow, in this case, is a solid black. Not sure if this one will make its way to the US as it doesn't have the signature Disneyland Paris embroidered on the side, but for now it's a Disneyland Paris exclusive.

6. Minnie Mouse Gold Sequin Ears Headband
Once again, one that's similar but still very different. While our own gold sequin ears do have polka dots, the Disneyland Paris' sequin embellished design feature a golden star print sprinkled all throughout the black bow. The words "Disneyland Paris is Magical" is also printed on the sides of the headband, making it another chic exclusive.

7. Mickey Mouse Key Ears Headband
Park of the Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary Collection, you get to unlock the fun with this iconic Mickey Mouse Key Ears Headband. The fun design features a 3D bow tie and key that urges you to "Unlock the Fun," complete with an embroidered keyhole and confetti artwork. This also features Disneyland Paris embroidered on the side of the headband.

8. Mickey Mouse Party Ears Headband
Also Part of the Mickey Mouse 90th Anniversary Collection, you get to join in the party celebration with is Mickey Mouse Party Ears Headband. These ears feature a small Mickey Mouse plush toy along with the words "World's Biggest Mouse Party" on one ear, confetti on the other, and Disneyland Paris embroidered along the side.

9. Mickey Mouse's Hands Ears Headband
Now, this Disneyland Paris Mickey Mouse Hands Ears Headband definitely gets a thumbs up! This headband features Mickey Mouse's iconic padded hands and can't be mistaken for anything else.

10. Alice Ears Headband
Part of the Alice in Wonderland Collection, these ears will have you wanting to follow Alice down the rabbit hole or maybe to Disneyland Paris. This headband is reversible, and features Eat Me on one side and Drink Me on the other along with an adorable ribbon. Visit Wonderland and Alice with these ears and win some bonus points.

Bonus: Pink Princess Ears Headband

Perfect for all the little princesses in your life or maybe a wedding, you're going to love this one. Complete with a veil and a princess crown between the padded bows, it will be sure to bring a smile to your face once you put it on. While I haven't yet seen this one here in the US, and since it doesn't have the Disneyland Paris embroidered on the side as most of the Disneyland Paris exclusives, there is always a chance that this will make its way to the US. Fingers crossed for those who love it that it gets here sooner rather than later.

Now if you're a big a fan as I am and love wearing different ears whenever you visit the park then I hope this post will encourage you to take a trip to Disneyland Paris, and if you're planning on visiting and then maybe this post will help you choose the Disneyland Paris hotel that is right for you.
