Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar

Happy 4th of July Y’all! This month is all about fireworks which is why the decision to use Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar as my July Fragrance of the Month is perfect!

I’m a big fan of the Viktor & Rolf fragrances, and in my Top 7 Designer Fragrances post, the original Flowerbomb made its way onto the list, but their Bonbon wasn’t too far behind. Upon learning that there was a new variation of Flowerbomb; Flowerbomb Nectar, I knew that it needed to be added to my collection.

Someone once asked “Do you buy a new fragrance every month to do your fragrance of the months’ posts?”, And the answer is “no”. Some of the perfumes that I feature are already in my collection, although barely used because there are so many of them, this one is brand new since it was recently released. Occasionally I may purchase a fresh scent, but since I have rather expensive taste when it comes to perfumes, there is no way for me to buy a new one every single month, and to be honest, I’d rather spend my hard earned cash on travel.

So why the recommendation of Flowerbomb Nectar for my July Fragrance of the Month? Because why ever not! If you’ve ever smelled Flowerbomb, this one is even better! Flowerbomb Nectar is more sensual and womanly, while I still think of the original Flowerbomb for the younger crowd. I also suggest picking up the biggest size bottle if you can, because it’s just worth it.

Flowerbomb Nectar is in the warm and spicy fragrance family which is quite unlike my fruity florals. However, what drew me to this was the fact that one of the top notes besides Osmanthus and Orange Blossom, was “Gun Powder Accord”. Now, what would that smell like? I honestly wanted to know.

Surprisingly, it what’s make Flowerbomb Nectar a hit! It starts off as a smokey note that develops into a sultry more grown-up scent as it winds down. I could smell the vanilla and benzoin, but there was also a hint of mystique. There was also that something else that I just couldn’t quite put my fingers on.

No matter, Flowerbomb Nectar is absolutely delicious and has longevity. Spray it on in the morning, and you’ll be smelling it at night.

Personally, I think that this could have been a standing perfume on its own without the Flowerbomb name attached.

So run, don’t walk, to your nearest beauty counter and pick up a bottle of Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Nectar, you won’t regret it.
