Caribbean Green Seasoning made with the Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™ ~ #NinjaSnapTapGo #NinjaPartner

Have you noticed the change? AnnMarie John is rebranding and I’m going in a direction that I have always wanted to. I’m originally from the Caribbean and I would love to share my Caribbean culture here on my blog. If you’ve never had a Caribbean dish, then you’re truly missing out. The holidays is something that islanders look forward to, and when we cook, we truly go all out! Todays’ recipe comes courtesy of my Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™. With it I’m able to do what I love doing best, that is:- keep things simple, yet delicious.

This post was created in partnership with Ninja® Intelli-Sense™ Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer™. I received complimentary products and compensation to facilitate my review, but all opinions within are my own.

In the Caribbean, there are a few things we look forward to. Carnival and Christmas! The day before Christmas, my mother would start getting everything together for the big day. She would prepare meals in advance and may even cook a dish or two so that there would be less time spent in the kitchen on THE day. She would pull out her
blender, her food processor and even a handheld mixer, and we would bake cakes (the famous black cake and/or fruit cake), bread and there might even be a tasty sweet potato pudding. I’ve often marveled at how she did it all, and while I strive to be like her, I’m still not there yet. One recipe that has been passed down through the generations and is a staple in almost every Caribbean home is the Caribbean Green Seasoning. It’s a mixture of herbs and looks very similar to pesto, but it is used to season our meats and is especially delicious in fish. That’s why I was so excited to try the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer which features one smart base that transforms into four high-performance appliances. I now have a 72 oz. Total Crushing® Blender, a 64 oz. Precision Processor™,  a 24 oz. Single-Serve Cup, and an Auto-Spiralizer. My mother would have LOVED this, it has everything that I need and I don’t need to find space for 4 different products in my kitchen. It’s a space saver!

Now before I go into my recipe, I want to share with you a bit about the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer and why I fell in love with it. This smart system features:

Smart Vessel Recognition: The Ninja’s Smart Vessel Recognition Technology automatically senses which vessel is attached to the base and the touchscreen changes to display a customized menu of Smart Programs on the touchscreen. This enables it to be used as the four systems.

2 Smart Programs: With a simple tap, you can have recipes optimally made each and every time. Everything is precisely calibrated so what you end up with is recipes made exactly how it should be.

Intuitive Touchscreen: The touchscreen is amazing! It responds to your touch and lets you select between vessel-specific Smart Programs and manual options. It’s also easy to clean and durable, which means that it will last for many years to come and hold up to all your everyday use.

Now back to my recipe!

Here is what you’ll need:

Caribbean Green Seasoning

Ingredients: (Preferably organic)

1 bunch green onions (or scallions as we call it in the Caribbean)

1 large whole onion

1 head of garlic

1 celery stalk

1 bundle of cilantro

1 bunch of fresh thyme

3 sprigs of sage

2 tablespoons fresh tarragon

2 tablespoons fresh rosemary

1-2 hot pepper (In the Caribbean we use scotch bonnet peppers, but I personally used 1 ghost pepper)

1 tablespoons salt

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup organic white vinegar

Food processor or blender

Wash your ingredients and then cut into big chunks. Don’t worry, your blender and/or food processor will do the work for you.

Add all your ingredients into your blender and/or food processor and puree. The Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer made my job so easy and it was all done within less than 2 minutes.

You have the choice to make it to the consistency of your liking. I prefer a more pesto-like consistency, but you can liquify it even more if that’s your preference. Once you’ve reached the consistency that you prefer, store in a mason jar and place in your refrigerator. You can also freeze and save for later, but personally I prefer it fresh.

I shared a video on Instagram that shows the process, and how easy the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer made it for me.

So far I have tried the food processor, blender and the single serve cup which my husband loves using, since he makes smoothies on a daily basis. It’s easy for him to make his smoothies and take it on the go without having to pour into another cup or glass. The auto-spiralizer is yet to be used, but the possibilities are endless when it comes to dishes to make with the Ninja Intelli-Sense Kitchen System with Auto-Spiralizer, and I can’t wait to get into the kitchen and start cooking, and I’ll be sharing a few more Caribbean recipes with you too. However, give my Caribbean Green Seasoning a try, you’re going to love it, and welcome to the new AnnMarie John!
