I remember when my oldest was born. I bought a diaper bag that represented the baby that I had just given birth to. I had a cute baby girl, so I wanted a cute pink diaper bag. You know the one that most new first time moms just think are so cute. Well the cuteness only lasted, but so long. Once Kristal was old enough to walk, there was no way I was going to walk around with a baby bag that had childish cartoon characters around everywhere I went. So I ended up buying a new bag. Now that I've learned my lesson, I always buy bags that I know will stand the test of time and grow with me from birth through their teenage years. I only wish I had known of Lily Jade back then. However, now that I do, I want to share them with you so you don't make the same mistake that I did. There are so many ways to reuse that diaper bag and Lily Jade bags can be reused over and over and over again.
Here are 6 ways.

As an airplane carry on.
It's not just your baby that needs items on the plane. We parents need items in order to keep our sanity as well. I usually pack a book and my electronics (cell phone, camera, ipad and laptop), along with other items such as snacks, makeup and other essentials. All within TSA regulations, of course.
A laptop bag
Believe it or not, my Lily Jade Elizabeth that you see in the photos, can actually be used as a laptop bag. It's big enough to hold my 13" MacBook Pro, along with other things. However, all of the other Lily Jade bags can fit up to a 15" laptop.

A beach bag
Even though summer is over, it's not too soon to think about next summer and all the beaches that you'll be visiting. All the waves that you'll be surfing and the water you'll be treading in. How about all that beautiful sun that you'll be soaking up the rays in? You're going to need a bag that is big enough to pack all your summer essentials, your sunglasses, cell phone, portable charger, towel and don't forget your sunscreen.
A dinner date bag
I love having a big bag, because I can pack everything that I need in there, however, there is no way that I would have taken one of those "ugly cartoon diaper bag" with me on a dinner date. However, if you have a beautiful Lily Jade diaper bag, you can carry it with you, as no one will even know that it was a diaper bag. That's the beauty about Lily Jade, they're not only functional, but they're also very versatile.

A workout bag
Looking for a bag to take to the gym with you? Look no further than Lily Jade. Remember when I said that this bag is functional and versatile? I meant it! They are big enough to pack all your gym wear and workout essentials. Why buy a gym bag when you can have a Lily Jade bag that you can take with you to the gym and everywhere else?
Your everyday bag
Because Lily Jade bags are convertible, it makes it great for everyday use. I can now not only use my bag as a backpack, but it can be used over my shoulder on just carried on my arm. There should be no reason that you have to throw your baby bag away because your baby is no longer a baby. Lily Jade bags are made to be used forever and "ever-ever". Sorry Ms Jackson!

So, why I am crushing on my Lily Jade?
Not only are they fashionable, but also I'm just in love with their features. One of my favorites is the removable bag organizer, which you can see in the photo below. Although Madison is no longer a "baby", she's still my baby and I still pack snacks, little toys and even her electronics whenever we're traveling. This organizer is removable, so if my husband and I are going out on a dinner date, I can simply remove the organizer and hand it to the sitter with all her essentials, and continue along my merry way with my bag. How neat is that?

I know a few people may say, "Well I can't afford the price tag". My neighbor was actually one of those persons and this was my explanation. Think about it this way. You may pay less for another brand, but you're not getting the value that you will get with a Lily Jade. Once you're done with that character diaper bag, you more than likely will either give it away or throw it away. There is no longer a need for it once your baby is grown up. However, with a Lily Jade, you can continuously use it until your child is an adult. Why? Because it is MORE than a diaper bag, it's the bag that does it all. It's also a bag that will last a lifetime with proper care!

What other ways would you use your Lily Jade diaper bag?
I'd love a Lily Jade diaper bag! I'd use as gym bag, bag for play dates and even a bag to the park for a picnic!
ReplyDeleteI actually have a diaper bag that to this day we use as a beach bag for a quick trip! Btw, that I want that diaper bag!
ReplyDeleteThis is why I love modern diaper bags! I could never have used my kids' diaper bags as anything other than that. They were soooo ugly.
ReplyDeleteDiaper bags are much more stylish than they used to be. Our kids' diaper bags were these horrible looking things in all primary colors.
ReplyDeleteThis helps me because my sister is pregnant and my other sister was talking about how we have to get her a "cool" diaper bag. And I know if I have a third, I have nothing in the way of good diaper bags these days. I don't even remember the one I had with Des. It must not have been memorable.
ReplyDeleteI am in complete agreement. I have seen diaper bags on here that I would love to use as a regular day bag because some of these styles are fabulous! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't have even guessed that this is a diaper bag! It is adorable. I am still at the point where I need the diaper bag but I love that I could keep using it even once they have grown!
ReplyDeleteMost diaper bags these days really do;t look like diaper bags, and they sure do pass as a stylish accessory even after your kids don't wear diapers anymore.
ReplyDeleteI love that color bag! And I too still use my diaper bags as regular bags!
ReplyDeleteValue definitely matters in some things, and a bag is one of them. We went through several diaper bags because we didn't put out the cash to get a high quality bag from the get go. Lesson definitely learned.
ReplyDeleteI love to use diaper bags as purses. They always have a ton of compartments and places to stash things!
ReplyDeleteI've used mine for a few of the ways you listed here. As a carry on is my favorite way haha
ReplyDeleteI love it! I am years passed the diaper bag stage. I wish this existed when I was carrying one! I had a really ugly back pack! lol
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas! I need to get a Lily Jade this time around. This bag is so cute an chic! I would love to use this!
ReplyDeleteMy diaper bags always had cartoon characters on them because that was what was cool in the 90's lol. So, off to the thrift store they went when I was done with them. These days, I would definitely choose a Lily Jade bag. So much classier than what I had.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bag. I love that it can be carried on your back too!
ReplyDeleteLovely bag! I'd use it to tote my jewelry around when I have parties at friends homes or the coffee shop.
ReplyDeletePretty amazing! I love that it's stylish and functional. I don't have kids but I'm still thinking of getting that bag. It has everything you need, it's perfect!
ReplyDeleteHow I wish it's a brand that I knew about when I first had a baby! My boys are a little older now but that doesn't mean this bag is something that I can't use. I totally love it! It's worth, without a doubt.
ReplyDeleteNice idea! That gorgeous diaper bag looks fabulous and will still make us look fashionable!
ReplyDeleteI bought my sister in law a bag similar to this when she had kids because it just seemed like fun vs a winnie the pooh bag and such. I am glad though that bags are becoming more versatile.
ReplyDeleteThe Lily Jade bag is so nice. I would totally use that and I don't even have a baby. It makes perfect sense that an investment will last longer. And there is so much to throw or give away once the little ones grow. So it's nice to see something that can transform with your family.
ReplyDeleteI loved my diaper bag and it didn't have any characters on it. I thought it was cute and I loved that it had backpack straps on it since I needed both hands for my twins. I agree that I like fashionable bags that don't look like diaper bags.
ReplyDeleteThat's a cute diaper bag! It reminds me of the one that I had when my daughter was a baby. I wish I had kept it to reuse it.
ReplyDeleteDiaper bags are ever more stylish now than they were. I love that they look like regular over sized bags. This one is so cute!
ReplyDeleteA Lily Jade bag goes beyond being "just a diaper bag." to be able to use it for other purposes is the best selling feature of these bags.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous diaper bag. If I had one like that I’m sure I could find many ways to reuse. It looks awesome and like a purse! - Jeanine
ReplyDeleteThat Lily Jade bag does not even look like a diaper bag! This would be perfect for short trips or staycations. I love the outside pockets. Very convenient for keeping change, keys, and other items I frequently misplace.
ReplyDeleteLove the Lily Jade bag you are re-using. Unfortunately with my lower back issues, I use a small crossbody now as this takes the pressure off my back issues by using a much smaller bag. But if I didn't have these issues, I could so see using a similar bag to what you reusing now, too! :)
ReplyDeleteI love diaper bags that are chic enough to transition to an everyday handbag. This one is gorgeous and with all the product required for babies - it's nice to be able to splurge on a beautiful bag that will last beyond diapers.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see so many chic options for diaper bags. We all want something practical but also chic that can grow as the kids do.
ReplyDeleteFirst off... you looking AMAZING!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, what genius ideas! I wouldn't have thought of using it as a laptop bag. Great idea for using it as a beach bag too!
Thanks for sharing.
xoxo
That is a super cute diaper/every day bag! These are some great ways to reuse that diaper bag!
ReplyDelete1) You look fabulous. 2) That DOES NOT look like a diaper bag! What a pretty bag for later use.
