I am very frugal and want to save as much money as I can, especially when it comes to my household shopping needs.Today I want to share four ways you can save at your local King Soopers store.

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kroger Money Services. All opinions are 100% mine.

Back to school is in full effect, however, for me the shopping never ends. When people hear back to school, they automatically think school supplies, however, what most people don’t realize is that as parents we shop all year round. While we may not be buying school supplies, as parents, we are constantly buying food to keep our children fed and not hungry. As a mother of 2 young boys who could eat you out of food and home, I have to keep a steady supply of food on hand. I need to fuel up my car in order to take them to and from school. There are bills to be paid and the list goes on and on. There are quite a few places that I shop at for my needs, and my King Soopers is one of them. Here in Colorado, King Soopers belongs to the Kroger family of stores. So how can you save?

Sign up for a shopper card

First and foremost, you are going to want to sign up for a card. When I first came to Colorado and went into my King Soopers, I was asked to join the loyalty program by the cashier. It was the best decision ever. This shopper or loyalty card is by far one of the easiest way to save money. It not only saves you money on your food purchases but can save you money in other ways as well.

Sign up for a digital account

Once you have your shopper card, it’s recommended to sign up for a digital account and link your shopper’s card to your account. Having a digital account means that you can load coupons onto your card instead of clipping coupons manually. You can also download digital coupons for Money Services as well. It’s free and a more efficient way to shop, because do you really have time to sit there clipping coupons? So now you not only save money, but you’re saving time as well.

Fuel for your vehicle

Another advantage of having the shopper’s card means that you will be able to save on gas. With the price of gas skyrocketing, every dime counts, and for every $1 that  you spend at your local Kroger store using your shopper’s card, you earn 1 fuel point. Once you’ve collected 100 fuel points you will then get 10 cents off a gallon of gas. Doesn’t get any better than that does it?

Paying your bills/cashing a check

King Soopers Money Services new discount program allows customers to save up to $0.50 on Check and Debit Card Cashing, Bill Payments and Money Orders when you show your store shoppers card at various locations. Not everyone likes using a credit or debit card to pay their bills. Sometimes I like getting a money order so I can have it for proof that something was done, and it’s easy to pay your water or electricity bills at King Soopers. Showing your loyalty card while buying a money order or paying your bills at your local King Soopers will save you 10¢. This also includes cashing a check. You can also save  $0.50 on cashing checks at Money Services with your card. Now you not only save while you shop but you also save even more at Money Services. Find a location to cash a check and find a location to pay your bills.

I mean come-on: who doesn’t love saving money? So sign up for your shoppers card and take advantage of King Soopers Money Services today!
