We recently took a trip to New York City to visit family and introduce my youngest to family members and friends we hadn’t seen in a very long time. I stayed with family members and thought that I would be fine in terms of my data plan with my cell phone company. My thoughts were on the up and up but I totally forgot how much data one can run through if you’re not on an unlimited data plan. Think about not being on an unlimited data plan and not having wi-fi readily available as well. If there’s one thing that my family members go through in my household it’s data. We are constantly online, whether it’s surfing the web, social media, playing games, yes playing games, my kids can run through our data plan like there’s no tomorrow. It really hurts when you get a text or email from your cell phone company saying, you have used the maximum data allowed on your plan and will be billed $14.99 per gb here on after. What?!!! Are you kidding me? I just plopped down hundreds of dollars for a phone, another couple of hundreds of dollars for a family plan and we have to pay MORE? Granted to say it was time to make a change.

Being a blogger I’m constantly online and constantly on the go. Being a blogger who has a pre-schooler on her hands and no data while out and about is definitely a no-no! I need something to keep her entertained while we’re going on our long drives and I also need something where I’m not worrying about how much data I have left on my monthly plan. Take for example my 15 year old and I’m sure if you have teenagers you can relate. I’m not sure how one kid can go to school, come home and stay on the phone with the same people he was just in school with for how many hours a day. They are constantly looking at YouTube videos and commenting about them via text or phone calls, talking to each other on social media and wherever he goes, his cell phone goes along with him too. It’s like an extension of himself. So when I found out about Walmart Family Mobile PLUS plan featuring Unlimited Talk, Text, & Data which includes up to 10GB of 4G LTE data PLUS a free movie on VUDU ($7 value) every month per line for $49.88. I knew that this was the plan for us.

Since I am always at Walmart for one thing or the other anyway I decided to check out their cellphone section and choose the plan and phone that would work for me. I decided on the HTC Desire 626 Smartphone. I’ve always been a fan of the HTC line and at only $129 how could I resist. What I’ve always loved about HTC is their simplicity and this one featured an 8mp rear facing camera which would allow me to take super crisp sharp photos for the times when my DSLR isn’t available. It also offered up to 30hrs of talk time and 761hours of standby time. That was just too amazing. I grabbed my phone, my starter sim pack, headed to check out line and was home and activated in no time.

Now my sanity will be saved. I will be able to go out and not have to worry about my data running out. My daughter will be able to play her games while we’re out and about and the best thing is that it doesn’t cost me an arm and leg, which means that I also save money. I get unlimited data, talk and text for under $50 and every month we get a movie for FREE which we will be enjoying on our Smart TV or gaming console! No other network offers you those kind of perks. So now we’re all happy. So if you’re in the market for a new mobile phone and carrier, check out Walmart Family Mobile, you won’t be disappointed. Check them out today!
