Cate & Chloe VIP Subscription June 2015

I was recently asked to take a look at the new Cate & Chloe VIP box for June. Granted while this is more of a toddler/kid blog, I’ve been recently incorporating posts that relates to parents, and I’m not talking about our parenting tips and recipes. Sometimes it’s just not all about the kids. I may have mentioned before that I’m not a fan of jewelry. I have ear piercings but I don’t wear earrings. The only ring I wore was my wedding set and while I have necklaces, I don’t bother wearing them either. My oldest daughter on the other hand while she’s not a fan of earrings, she does love wearing unique necklaces and rings. She’s also a big fan of subscription boxes, so when I told her about the Cate & Chloe invitation she was all to eager to try them out. After all this was a way to try it without buying it.

Cate & Chloe has made it their mission to make sure today’s professionals remain on-trend.  Inspired by their favorite designers, the creators of Cate & Chloe have striven for simple, versatile, and elegant pieces that allow women to add a little glamour to an everyday look.  Opening a monthly subscription box is similar to Christmas morning—always a surprise.  Avoid unpleasant surprises with Cate & Chloe’s monthly subscription box which is catered to the individual’s tastes. For only $39.99 a month, Cate & Chloe will ship $200 worth of fabulous, designer jewelry right to the subscriber’s door including one exclusive pre-release piece.

Now included in my box was a little card that described the pieces that we received along with a “tip of the month” and “perk of the month”. One of the tip that I liked was “If you’re wearing bright colors already, don’t overdo it with colorful accessories. No one likes looking “busy”, well I guess some people do because I see it all the time. Now on to our pieces.

The first was the Spencer “Visionary” Turquoise Pendant Necklace.

Long and elegant, a sleek silver pendant combined with a vibrant pop of turquoise makes this necklace a Spring staple.

My daughter tried it on and said that she loved the length and the little turquoise really made it look elegant. Great for a night out on the town or even wearing with jeans and tee.

Next was the Karie “Beloved” Ring.

Silver plated and woven in an intricate design, you’ll sparkle all evening as the Karie Ring shine with effortless ease.

I’m not entirely sure what size this ring was but it was a little too big for daughter who’s a size 6 so I’m thinking it might have been a 7. It did look beautiful when she tried it on. Because of my skin sensitivity to anything that isn’t gold, I didn’t bother even trying it on.

Now this was the perk of the month. The NuMe Hydro Hydrating Shampoo. I haven’t used it since I very rarely shampoo my hair. Being Caribbean-American I co-wash my hair. In Colorado we don’t have the humidity that we had in New York so I wash my hair with conditioner to keep it moisturized. This is meant for dry or colored hair to lock moisture in and I’m sure it will be great for someone.

So what’s my opinion of the Cate & Chloe subscription VIP box? This is great for those who are into this kind of jewelry. I was disappointed that the jewelry are silver plated and not silver. If you have a skin sensitivity to “plated” jewelry then this is definitely not for you. It’s great to open a box curated just for you filled with great pieces and they are certainly trendy. I guess for $39.99 you really can’t go wrong, can you?
