ZumZum - The Coolest Balance Bike {Giveaway}

Tomorrow's my birthday and I finally turn 3! Time surely does fly doesn't it? I can't believe it myself. I have shared quite a lot of my adventures with you and a few of those has been learning to ride my bike. I remember the first balance bike I got. It was made totally of plastic but it did it's job. It helped me learn to balance. Since then I've done quite a few other balance bikes and all are unique in their own way. Today I want to share with you another. This one is one of the coolest balance bike I have seen to date. I bring to you ZumZum! There is no other like it and I've seen a lot, let me tell you. There is so much to this balance bike that I just have to share it with you. Before I do that though, let me tell you a bit of the history behind ZumZum.

When the team at ZumZum decided that they wanted to create the perfect bike in terms of design and flexibility, they looked for the best, someone who has been riding bikes all their life and know what to look for. They contacted Steve Peat, a professional mountain biker who has won many championships. After a lot of work ZumZum was created as the perfect starting bike for any child. Now they just need the help of everyone to get this project up and running.

Now balance bikes can be used any time your little one starts walking. Trust me, I got my first balance bike when I was only 13 months old. They are perfect for learning balance and coordination and for building up confidence. One of the things that I love about balance bikes is that you control how fast you go. With kids their first instinct is to put their foot on the ground if they're going to fast in order for them to stop. That's called our built in brake. It's what I still do even now. Now there are a few features that makes the ZumZum totally unique and also one of the coolest.

The ZumZum is made of Birch Plywood from wood grown in sustainable forests, making it not only a cool balance bike but also a green one! It's unique design also makes it one of the lightest balance bikes in the world.

The thing that totally caught my eyes though was the seat. I have never seen a bike (and I mean any bike, balance or regular) like it before. That's the natural suspension and my first thought was I'll be scared to sit on it because it might break. After reading up on it I found out that it is so well built that even adults can sit on it without fear of it breaking. That's how strong it is.

Here's a feature that I know is not found in most bike or at least not any balance bike that I know of. NFC tagging in the steering wheel. Now you can identify your child's bike with your smartphone. The steering wheel will contain a chip which will be able to tell you all the information about the owner and the warranty. How cool is that!

Another feature that I love was the non-marking pneumatic rubber tires. If it's one thing I hate on a balance bike, it's plastic tires. The people at ZumZum decided to up the ante with the real thing. Feel free to ride this bike indoors without leaving scuff marks on your hardwood floors. If indoors is too tame for you, don't worry, the ZumZum is perfect for all kind of terrain. Think gravel, sand and even mud. Now you can take your bike to the beach, something you possibly couldn't have done before.

Here's a video showing you a bit more about ZumZum that I can tell you.
