Is it still Toddler Book Talk Tuesday? You bet it is! That means that I still have just one more book to share with you. My plan is to share with you every Tuesday 2 - 3 books that I have been reading. My library of books keeps getting bigger and bigger and that means that there are even more books to share. Now some of these books may be seasonal, like next week's is going to be. Yes that's a clue as to what is coming your way next week. For now I want to share with you another of my favorites and one that I think will also become one of yours as well. Today I am going to be sharing with you, We're Going on a Bear Hunt Sound Book, written by Michael Rosen and illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.

We're going on a bear hunt features a dad and his 4 children who decides that they were going on a bear hunt. Follow them on their adventure through the grass all the way to the bear's cave. With each obstacle there is the famous "uh-oh", which I've now learned to say on cue.
Here's an excerpt:
We're going on a bear hunt.Your kids will delight pressing each of the sound buttons, to hear the sounds that it makes when going through each obstacle that the family faces. While this book is recommended for ages 3+, toddlers and even babies would delight in the repetition and would enjoy pushing the sound buttons as well.
We're going to catch a big one.
What a beautiful day!
We're not scared.
Uh-oh! Grass!
Long, wavy grass.
We can't go over it.
We can't go under it.
Oh, no!
We've got to go through it!

This book's tale is told in classical black and white illustrations while the sound pages are in beautiful color. It was totally one of my favorites. UH OH! The illustrations truly brought the story to life and you can totally "read" without the words.

You are going to want to read this over and over and the ending is actually pretty funny but you have to read to find out why. We're Going on a Bear Hunt Sound Book is a total classic that you are going to want to have in your little one's library. Perfect for bedtime, because who's afraid of the big brown bear? I'm not! This totally gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
