There are only a few toys that I just truly love. Dolls and the the other being puzzles. Nothing inspires creativity and boosts the imagination quite like puzzles. Sure they can be brain teasers at times but what’s better than playing with puzzles? Nothing I say! Nothing! I can actually sit for quite some time trying to put together a puzzle and I have to admit that I am getting quite proficient at it. They not only help with my problem-solving skills but aids in my hand to eye co-ordination as well. That’s why I want to bring to you today an amazing company, Red Fish Toys that makes the most amazing puzzles that I’ve played with to date. These aren’t just any kind of puzzles, no these are made out of wood.

Now for a little history of how Red Fish Toys came about. This all started when a mom, just like any mom out there wanted nothing but the best for their child. After all your children do deserve the best. During her travels around the world she always looked for something ‘unique’ to bring home for her little one. Her quest for toys finally led her to start Red Fish. As my mommy would say, if you can’t find it, make it!

It was also our search for fun and education toys that led us to Red Fish, and they decided to send me three of their wonderful puzzles. Each puzzle was a sight to behold, not only because of it’s beauty but the detail in the work. Each was also different in what it taught as you can see from the photos below. The train puzzle taught colors, while the turtle numbers and the butterfly the alphabet.

Each puzzle is hand painted, using non-toxic paint, and crafted from sustainable rubber wood making them truly environmentally friendly. They help develop fine motor skills and that hand to eye coordination that I was telling you about earlier. They also teach the alphabet, numbers and colors.

The colors are truly vivid and I have to admit that mommy’s camera so did not do these justice. They are more beautiful than you see them here. All the puzzles are double sided and you can totally up the difficulty for your little one.

Take for example the beautiful bright butterfly in it’s packaging. Notice that in this case you can construct your butterfly by just matching the pieces. While that might be a bit difficult for younger tots to do, turning it over shows the alphabet which makes it a lot easier.

Now not only will your little one be learning their alphabet, but with their thinking cap on, they can totally learn the alphabet while solving this delightful puzzle. Not only that but they will be learning their colors as well. The pieces are sized just right for little hands as well and these puzzles also meets or exceed U.S. toy testing standards.

Red Fish Toys Wooden Puzzles makes a great gift for your little ones and I just know that they’ll have a blast playing with them like I did. It’ll boost their creativity and imagination and encourage their fine motor skills. It’s why they’ve made their way on our Holiday Gift Guide and also why they get my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
