Citrus Lane – 34 Month Old Box – November 2014

It’s Citrus Lane time again and today I get to share with you my Citrus Lane 34 month old box for November 2014. This time I decided to stop my procrastination, although I’m still late, but not as late as I have been in the past. I think I’m getting better but really it’s all up to my writer who has the most craziest of schedules. If you are new to my blog and have no idea what Citrus Lane is, it’s a monthly subscription box for newborns to age 5. Every month a specially curated box is sent to you catered to your little one’s age, and it’s all a surprise what you’ll receive. There are currently 3 subscription levels and subscriptions are cheaper the longer you subscribe. Subscriptions starts at $29/month. I have been receiving this box for over a year now and every month is such a surprise. If you are interested in seeing what I got in last month’s box, you can take a look at my 33 Month Old Box or you can take a look at all my other Citrus Lane Reviews. Our December box may not happen until January so just giving you a heads up.

This month Citrus Lane continued with their pink box like they did last month instead of their usual yellow. This is in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Men’s Health Awareness Month.

As usual Citrus Lane includes their “hello” card which describes what we get in our box. This time it read:

This box includes some of our favorite things for encouraging creative play and cognitive development. We’ve selected a custom-made wooden play set, a two-in-one puzzle, and special art supplies. These are our “go to” items for our children, and we’re excited to be able to share them with you.

Just like last month, Citrus Lane sent an email asking you to choose a “surprise” item. I love this because I get to choose something that I would want instead of something they think I would. This way I am getting just what I would prefer to get. Anyway without further ado lets get into what I got this month!

Veggie Play Set from Plan Toys

Made exclusively for Citrus Lane, this Veggie Play set lets little ones chop and prepare four colorful vegetables. Each vegetables is held together with velcro so can be “sliced” in half with a wooden knife. Encourage little imaginations to play kitchen or restaurant while developing fine motor skills. plantoys.com

I was super excited to get this. I love playing with my kitchen sets and was just thinking to myself that I needed some new kitchen items. This couldn’t have come at a better time. The quality is really good on these veggies as well so I know they’ll last a long time.

12 and 24 Piece Puzzle Set from Barefoot Books

We like that this set contains two puzzles to challenge your child at different stages. Based on a popular sing-along story, choose to play with the 12 piece or 24 piece puzzle, depending on the level of difficulty your little one is ready for. We find our kids enjoy puzzles the most as a mommy-and-me activity. Visit barefootbooks.com/citruslane for an exclusive limited time offer.

I love puzzles and I don’t care what kind they are. They sure do help with my hand to eye coordination and helps also with my motor skills. I can probably put together a 12 piece puzzle in less than 5 minutes. I’m that good! This box comes with 2 sets so I plan on putting them to some good use. The 24 might challenge me a little but I’ve got this!

Brilliant Beeswax Crayons in Storage Case from Faber-Castell

Once you’ve tried to color with these crayons, you’ll understand why they’re one of our favorites. The beeswax results in ultra smooth coloring, rich and vibrant colors, and the jumbo size and triangular shape is perfect for learning proper grip. The sturdy storage case is perfect for art-on-the-go and keeping crayons tidy. Use code CITRUS20 for 20% off at greatartstartshere.com thru 12/30/14

I love these crayons. Not only are they big enough for tiny hands but I love that they came in a case. I can’t tell how much of those boxes have gotten destroyed by me when i tried putting them back in. They claim to be break resistant but that remains to be seen.

Cold Relief Chest Rub from Babyganics

Twist and say aaaaahhh. A baby with a cold needs comfort. (So do the parents.) What could feel better than a soothing chest rub? Our natural blend of eucalyptus, rosemary and lavender soothes and comforts the crank. Our glide on stick is designed for hands-free application to ensure cranky-free parents too.

This was the “surprise” item I chose this month. Well technically it wasn’t a surprise but it was the one that I would have preferred to the others. It’s Winter and with winter usually comes the sniffles. Mommy and I love organic treatments and would prefer to use them compared to downing down cough syrups. This is going to be in our medicine cabinet until the time comes when I need to use it.

We didn’t calculate the value of our box this month because to be honest we didn’t care about the value. We loved everything that came in this month and I can get a lot of use from everything. I was a little disappointed that I didn’t get a book since I didn’t get one last month either. I was however happy to know that there was no food sent. While I like sampling new foods, that’s exactly what they should be, samples.

If you’re interested in getting your very own subscription you can use my invitation and get 50% off your first box. $15 is actually a great price for trial subscription and I’m sure you’ll decide you love them as much as I do. So what are you waiting for? Give Citrus Lane a try today!
