This Halloween safety checklist is to keep everyone safe when trick or treating.

Tomorrow is Halloween, and I just know that I will be out and about enjoying myself! I have my costume all ready, and Daddy will be taking me trick-or-treating. I’ll be sure to share my Halloween costume with you on Instagram. If you’re not already following me, then now might be a good time to do that.  Today I want to wish you all a very safe Halloween.

Don’t forget that we shared our Halloween safety tips with you a few weeks ago, but today I want to share with you a Halloween safety checklist that you can download and have handy when going door to door for your candy treats.

Stay on the Sidewalk

Walk on the sidewalk and avoid walking on the road, especially if there are no sidewalks available. If you have to walk on the road, walk facing the traffic so that you can see any approaching vehicles.

Don’t Eat Any Candy Before It Is Inspected By Adults

Even though you’re excited about all the candy, wait until an adult has inspected it before eating. Be cautious of any homemade treats or candies that are not in their original packaging.

Don’t Eat Any Unwrapped Candies

All candies should be wrapped before eating. If you come across any unwrapped candy, it’s best to avoid them because they may have been tampered with.

Stay With Your Group

It’s always best to go trick-or-treating with a group or an adult. This helps to ensure that you’re not alone, and you have someone looking out for you.

Wear a Reflecting Item On Your Clothing So Cars Can See You

If your costume is dark and not easily visible, be sure to add a reflective item such as a glow stick or reflective tape to your clothing. This will help cars see you while trick-or-treating.

Observe the Trick or Treating Hours

Most neighborhoods have set hours for trick-or-treating. Be sure to follow those hours and don’t go out too late or stay out past the designated time.

Have a Hauntingly Good Time!

Halloween is a time for fun and spooky celebrations, but it’s important to stay safe while doing so. Use this Halloween safety checklist as a guide to ensure that you and your loved ones have a spooktacular and safe Halloween. And don’t forget to share your photos with us using the hashtag #SafeHalloween! We can’t wait to see all of your amazing costumes and celebrations. Happy Halloween! 🎃👻💀

Feel free to download our checklist so that you can have a copy on hand.
