November 2013 Stork Stack Toddler Box Review

It’s once again time for our monthly review of our Stork Stack Toddler Box. For those who don’t know about Stork Stack,  its a monthly subscription box service that caters to babies from the third trimester to toddlers up to age 3. This is my 21 month old toddler box. If you’re interested in finding out what we got in our October box you can check it out here.

The theme for this month was “Lunch Box Stack!” and once again Stork Stack decided to send a digital card. Mommy decided as well that we were going to wait until our box arrived before taking a peek. It takes the fun out of the box when you know what you’re getting before hand. Our digital card read:

Sugar and Spice and everything nice – that’s what Stork Stacks are made of this November! This month we share some “food for thought” with our Lunch Box Stack. We greatly value family mealtimes, so we’ve included some of our favorite products from one of our favorite family brands, Spuds, Inc., along with a food-themed book to enjoy together after eating. Meals and snacks are often on-the-go, so we’re sure you and your little one will both love this adorable lunch box from Stephen Joseph. BabyLegs are a great way to keep little legs covered when you strip them down to their undershirt so they don’t make a mess of their best holiday clothes, or you can use them for extra warmth when out for a lunchtime picnic at the park. We’ve rounded out the Stack with a snack for our “big kids” to remind our parents that mealtime is important for the whole family. Bon appétit to all our darling little diners!

Now this month sounded really great! I couldn’t wait to open my box and see what was inside. I knew a few of the companies and I couldn’t wait to get my hands on that new book. Nothing better than getting a new book to read or in my case, be read to. Once I opened the box and saw the colors I was mesmerized. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on them. Let me tell you or even better, show you in pictures what I got.

BabyLegs – $5.00

BabyLegs puts the “fun” in “functional”! These fashionable leg warmers began as a solution to keep little legs warm but quickly became a parenting essential across the world because of their utility, practicality, and stylish appeal year-round.

As my regular readers know, I’m totally into fashion and I can’t wait to put these on. I already own a few pair of Baby Legs legwarmers and I love them! They are so versatile and can be worn with everything. Over skinny jeans, under skirts or dresses, you name it and it can be done with these. You will probably see me in this in an upcoming photo soon.

Spuds: Spuds Plate– $9.99

Spuds Inc. offers feeding and soothing products made from reclaimed potatoes. Our products are all natural, non-toxic, and biodegradable. Best of all, Spuds products are Made in the USA… and proud of it! Visit our website to learn more about reclaimed potatoes and why we strive to offer healthy products for your family

I have never heard of reclaimed potato products before so this was very interesting indeed. I will be using this very soon. It has a very hard plastic feel to it and is very shallow so not sure what I will be eating in it. Maybe a sandwich since anything more will certainly make a mess. I wish it was deeper so I could really enjoy it.

Child’s Play International “Ten Fat Sausages” book by Elke Zinsmeister – $5.39

There are ten fat sausages sizzling in the pan, but they’re going fast! Can you count the sausages as they disappear – and can you see where they go? A book to stimulate observation and discussion, and an enjoyable introduction to number bonding. Ingenious die-cut holes in each page bring the number concepts in this favourite counting song to life. All children love this traditional rhyme and singing along will help to develop number skills. Bouncy illustrations, innovative die cutting and popular rhymes make Books with Holes a must for every child. Available in three formats, suitable for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and the nursery or classroom.

I am a huge fan of books and mommy and I opened this as soon as we got it out of the box. The illustrations are beautiful and fun. It even counts in sequences of two’s which I’ve never seen in a book before. This is great for those pre-schoolers but also great for me. I plan on learning my numbers really soon.

Stephen Joseph – Classic Lunch Box – $16.00

Let Us Brighten Your Day with our colorful line of children’s gift and accessories! Our adorable collections offer matching themes throughout our coordinating products. The perfect fit for school time, play time, travel time – Anytime!

Now if you’re a regular reader you would know automatically that this is so totally me! I’m in love with owls and maybe Stork Stack knew because it fits perfectly in my room decor. I don’t use a lunch box as yet for school but now I have something to use when I do. This though can be used for just a quick trip to the park. The inside is pretty big and will be able to hold a few things well.

LARABAR: LARABAR uber – $0.66

LÄRABAR über® is a unique sweet and salty snack made from whole fruits and nuts. It’s big texture with big taste!

I got one of these LARABAR snacks last month but it was blueberry muffin and I really enjoyed it. This one was also pretty good. I ate it since mommy is allergic to peanuts. You may want to keep this away from those with peanut allergy. It is gluten free and kosher and contains no GMO which is pretty good.

I am really loving my November Stork Stack Box. Everything was a hit with us. Even the tiny LARABAR snack. I do wish they had put at least two of them since they’re so tiny. Stork Stack has yet to disappoint us and I can’t wait to see what next month brings us. After all it’s December which means Christmas so we’ll see what Santa brings in our Stork Stack box.

The grand total for our box this month was $37.04. The monthly subscription for your Stork Stack box is $27.99/month but if you want to get your own Stork Stack box you can use my link to get $10 off your first box. If the link doesn’t work you can use the following discount code A241300F.
