November 2013 Bluum 22 Month Old Toddler Box Potty Time #Review

It’s that time of the month again to bring to you another Bluum box. I’m now 22 months old and Bluum has decided that 22 months is time to receive our Potty Time box.  How co-incidental that this week we’re also focusing on potty training and what we’ve use to help us along the way. If you’re interested in seeing what last month’s box look like, take a quick look here.

Now here is a bit about Bluum. Bluum is a monthly subscription service for babies ages newborn to 3 years of age and costs $24.95 a month.

Bluum sent their card digitally this month and mommy refused to open the email because she didn’t want to spoil the surprise of what we were going to get. Usually we would get an email after our box has arrived but that didn’t happen this time. Last month we celebrated Brush Up and was really happy with our box. We are hoping for an encore. Now let’s get on to our unboxing.

My digital card read this month:

Month 22: Potty Time

Don’t forget to wash your hands! By now, your toddler is becoming a “big kid”and big kids aren’t wearing diapers. Your toddler is beginning to learn the ins and outs of going to the potty and eventually the toilet. Focusing on the good job they do cleaning themselves (with your help of course) can help build confidence in moving to the next stage in development. Sometimes, children are afraid of not having the security of the diaper and it can cause a delay in progress as a result. No need to worry, because you are there to reassure your child that everything will be just fine.

When my daughter Arya started using the potty, she constantly asked if she was doing it correctly. It helped when I complimented her on using toilet paper and the way she used the right amount of soap to wash her hands. At the end of the day, children are just mini versions of us, so it’s always beneficial to treat them with the same care or delicacy as you would want for yourself. Compliments and hugs go a long way during potty time.

You can do it!

I was really surprised when I opened my box and saw that Strider Bike card on top. Surprisingly that is one of the items on our Holiday Gift Guide and a review is coming up very soon for it as well. Now here are the products we received.

for baby – Kandoo – Toilet wipes – $3.00

Kandoo Flushable Toilet Wipes clean up to 30% better than toilet paper! They’re moistened with lotion and pop up from the tub with the push of a button designed for little hands.

I have been using Kandoo for a little while now and we actually did a review on them as well. They are great for potty training because not only do they clean you a lot better than toilet paper, but they are also flushable. It’s a win-win if you ask me!

for baby – Child’s Play – Lift The Lid – Girl – $6.99

Babies might begin “reading” Lift the Lid: A Toilet Training Book by chewing on its vinyl pages and only later grow into its true purpose. Shaped like a toilet seat, the book gives a perfect description of the toileting process, from “Raise the lid and pull down your pants” to “Well done and say Goodbye!”.

It’s always nice to have something extra to help along the process of potty training. Well that’s what mommy said. I actually have a book that we currently use but this is another that we plan on using as well. This is made of soft plastic and the pages actually looks like a lid. How ingenious!

for baby – Happy Family – Happy Yogis – Mixed Berry – $4.00

Happy Yogis delight Child’s taste buds with a burst of flavor. These freeze dried organic yogurt drops melt in Child’s mouth, and they taste so good, you may not be able to resist sneaking a few for yourself!

I’m a huge fan of Happy Family and I love their yogi’s. There’s always a package in my baby bag so this was just another that was going to end up in there.

for baby – Happy Family – Happy Yogis – Banana Mango – $4.00

Digestive health is key, and Happy Yogis will deliver beneficial pre and probiotics to your baby by way of these delicious, nutritious yogurt and fruit treats.

Now they decided to send not just one but two of the Happy Family Yogi’s. Granted its in a different flavor but I would have preferred to get something else.

for baby – Tic Tac Toe – Fuzzy Smile Socks – Purple/Pink – $8.00

Little girls can’t wait to coordinate their outfits and start their days with a new pair of eye-catching Tic Tac Toe socks. These easy-to-clean accessories feature graphics that never go out of style, and are designed to prevent bunching so little feet stay comfy.

These socks are very big and states for ages 2-4yrs. Being not even two yet I guess these will have to be put away for a while before I’m able to use them. They do feel rather soft and nice and I’m sure I would love them when I’m able to wear them.

for baby – Babylegs – Leg Warmers – Holiday-Tartan – $12.00

With the weather changing, we thought it would be great to introduce you to the benefits of having an easy, additional layer on hand all the time! Start your day with a pair of BabyLegs, or keep a spare in your diaper bag for when you need another layer. They’re quick, easy, and so very cute.

I’m a huge fan of Baby Legs. I now have about 6 pairs of Baby Legs Leg Warmers. I got a pair in another subscription box just recently and here is another. Yay me! I’m also loving that this one is perfect for the holidays. Check out the Christmas Tartan print.

The grand total of our October Bluum Box was $37.99. Although I would have loved to get a bit more stuff that went along wit the theme, I am in love with my Bluum box this month.

I’m not sure what next month’s box is going to be since there was no hint of it. I’m sure it’s going to be something great and maybe Christmasy. Now if you want to get your own Bluum box you may use the following link and get your own Bluum Box without waiting for an invite.
