This week is going to be one very busy week with Thanksgiving only a few days away. This week we are still featuring the number of methods that mommy and I have used during our potty training tribulation. Mommy calls it trials and tribulations because I still haven’t gone on the potty. Now we tried this really innovative diaper that we highlighted yesterday and today is another feature. This time mommy went the natural route with me using a cloth diaper. bumGenius sent me two of their diapers for us to try during our potty training trial and here is my review on them.

We received the bumGenius Freetime All-In-One cloth diaper. When they say all-in-one, they really mean all-in-one. We have other cloth diapers that we have tried (reviews coming this week) but so far this is the only all–in-one. So what exactly do I mean when I say they’re All-In-One? Well you know those other cloth diapers that you have to buy inserts for? There is no need for inserts for these. Perfect right? I surely do think so! One of the great thing I like about the inserts is that since it’s attached you don’t need to pull it out to wash. There is no need for you to touch it at all.

Now bumGenius is designed for babies 8-35lbs so you can wear these from newborn all the way up to toddlerhood. Start from a baby and finish up with your potty training. You won’t need to buy any other cloth diaper. The design is made so that the snaps on the front adjusts to the size you need. They are perfect for daddies and grandparents and even daycare staff. They are so easy to use that daddies who always complain that they don’t know “how to do it” can do it!

They are all machine washable and can be washed in cold or hot water. It’s preferable not to wash them with fabric softeners and also to use 1/4 cup of bleach in the hot wash once a month. Another great feature of these bumGenius All-in-One cloth diapers is that they are all BPA Free, Phthalate Free, Latex Free and Lead Free.

The fabric is soft and its also waterproof. There is no need to worry that there is going to be a mess with these on. The insert wicks the moisture away and thereby keeps me dry. As with all cloth diapers you may experience the extra bulk between the legs in the front but the back was no issues. They fit great under my clothing and I have actually worn them under jeans. The elastic around my legs aren’t tight at all and because its totally adjustable you can change it to the desired fit. Since wearing these I have to say I haven’t experienced any red marks or a diaper rash either.

Now don’t worry that you won’t find a design that you love. bumGenius has lots of colors and styles to choose from. You can bring out the artist in you. Who ever said that your diaper had to be boring?

bumGenius really do make cloth diapering super easy. Just as easy or maybe even easier than disposable diapering. There are no tabs to rip and come apart like disposables. I love bumGenius and it’s certainly a much better alternative to disposables. They cut out having to buy additional inserts making them super reasonable and highly affordable. You end up spending less money and they last a really long time. You’re also helping out the environment with less waste. bumGenius gets my Two Thumbs Up.
