Review: Baby’s First Dino Roar

Mommy and I were recently contacted by Baby’s First Dolls to do a review of one of their newer dolls the Baby’s First Dino Roar. Mommy and I had never heard of the Goldberger Toy Company before so once again mommy does what she does best. She took a look at the company and decided that this would be a great collaboration not just for me but for my readers as well. It’s not very often you find a doll of very good quality that is age-appropriate and also budget-friendly. Not everyone can afford to plunk down over a hundred dollars on a doll.

Baby’s First dolls are all age-appropriate and are categorized as well. Each doll is recommended for a certain age from 0-3yrs. Baby’s First Dolls are also machine washable. There’s nothing worse than running around with a dirty doll. They all come with a lifetime guarantee so if you’re not happy with your doll you can return it for either a replacement or a full refund, no questions asked. Not many companies do that so we were happy to find a company that does.

The idea for this toy was conceived by the owner of the Goldberger Co., and inspired by his daughter Olivia.  As a toddler, she would not go to sleep until Daddy checked under the bed and in the closet for monsters!  In an effort to empower little ones (and their sleep deprived parents), Dino Roar was born. Dino and your child can ROAR like a dinosaur and chase away any bedtime bad guys with Dino’s glowing face adding an extra feeling of security.

$17.99 – Safe for 18 Months +

I still sleep with a nightlight. I absolutely hate the dark and if for some reason I wake up with no light in my room I start crying. There is nothing worse than being in complete darkness. Who knows what monsters are under my bed trying to get me. During the night the sounds that are there in the house throughout the day sound even more creepy. Everything is amplified and sounds worse than it may be. I want to be able to go to bed and not worry about it but for now, it’s not happening.

My Baby’s First Dino Roar is here to my rescue. This is available in both a boy (blue) and girl (pink) version. I got pink. Not only is she soft and light enough for me to hold and take around everywhere but whenever I push on its tummy she makes this cute little dino roar and giggles. That always makes me giggle. Her cheeks light up red as well and in a dark room is really nice to see. There are no small parts for mommy to worry about me swallowing. Her face is all painted so her eyes remain open. Mommy says it’s for her to protect me during the night. She stays awake to take care of me.

Baby’s First Dino Roar is soft all over except for her immediate face area. She is soft and squishy and I can give her a big hug without thinking that my arms would hurt. Now since my doll has a soundbox and a non-replaceable battery I can only wipe her off instead of machine washing. I’m sure there is a way but mommy would probably have to take her stitching apart and then resew her. I wish there was an easier way. Also, I would have preferred if I was able to replace her two button cell batteries when her sound dies.

Baby’s First Dino Roar has been my constant companion lately ever since mommy took her out the box and took her tags off. Everywhere I go she goes right along with me. As you can see in the following picture I even sleep with her.

I love my Baby’s First Dino Roar doll and she definitely gets my Two Tiny Thumbs Up!

About the Goldberger Toy Company:

In 1916 Eugene Goldberger started the Goldberger Doll Company in Lower Manhattan, New York. In its third generation, the Goldberger Company is now known for creating dolls with a special emphasis on meeting the needs of younger children, from birth to age three, and their parents.
