See DINOS! Live at Denver Zoo ~ #DinosLiveWithToyota

Have an aspiring Paleontologist on your hands? Then you’re going to want to see DINOS! Live at Denver Zoo, brought to you by your Hometown Toyota Stores.

Yesterday Madison and I were invited to a private preview of Denver’s Zoo newest traveling exhibit, DINOS! Live. Madison has been obsessed with Dinosaurs for as long as I can remember and almost 2 years ago I took her to the Dinosaur Museum which she just loved. The Denver Zoo’s DINOS! Live was something that I knew she’d be excited about and we weren’t disappointed. The exhibit features 21 life-size animatronic dinosaurs throughout the zoo, from a Tyrannosaurus Rex at the Conservation Carousel to a Stegosaurus at Sheep Mountain. I also want to share 3 easy ways you can turn this event into a learning adventure for your little ones.

The exhibit officially opens to the public tomorrow Saturday, July 1 and extends until October 31st. However, tomorrow from 6:30-9:30pm there will be a Prehistoric Party for members only with it being offered every Saturday Night in July for the general public.

On July 1, 8, 12, 22, 29 respectively, you will be able to visit these 21 life-size animatronic dinosaurs after the sun goes down while enjoying additional family-friendly entertainment, such as craft stations, animal demonstrations, fruit carving and more!

Pricing for the Prehistoric Party.

General Public Age 12-64 – $17.00

General Public Child 3 -11 – $12.00

General Public Age 65+  – $14.00

This exhibit is perfect for the entire family and while I love visiting the Denver Zoo to see the animals, seeing the Dinosaurs alongside their evolved counterparts left me awestruck at times. There were dinosaurs that I didn’t know even existed. Dinosaurs that automatically rethink Jurassic Park and finding the nearest hiding spot, and Dinosaurs that just look so cute, you want to reach out and quite possibly pet them. The sound and the motion will entrance you and while you know that they’re not alive, you might just start thinking that they are.

So how can you turn this into a learning fun adventure for the kids. Here are 3 ways?

1. Who can find all 21 dinosaurs first before the zoo closes?

2. Who can correctly identify and name all 21 dinosaurs? While that might be fun and also a bit challenging, even for the adults, maybe we can have a challenge as in who can correctly identify the most dinosaurs?

3. Can you distinguish which dinosaur was a herbivore or a carnivore?

So take the entire family to the Denver Zoo and see their DINOS! Live exhibit, and be sure to see the Dino’s at night, because while they look fierce and dangerous during the day, they look marvelously splendid at night, where they light up in spectacular colors. You’re not going to want to miss it!
