Whether you are a frequent Walt Disney World Resort visitor, or you are planning your very first trip – adding one of many Disney World tours to your vacation may be the bit of extra magic you are looking for. There is something available for all ages and interests. Most require Theme Park admission in addition to the tour cost, but not all. A tour at a resort can be a great way to spend a ‘non-park’ day during your visit. Get plenty or rest, remain hydrated, lace up your comfy walking shoes, and get ready to learn! Here are some of the delightful Walt Disney World Resort tours.


Magic Kingdom Tours (valid Theme Park Admission required)

Walt Disney: Marceline to Magic Kingdom Tour
Ages: 12 and up, geared mostly for adults

Duration: 3 hours

Disney's The Magic Behind Our Steam Trains Tour
Ages: 10 up

The perfect treat for train lovers! Learn how these beautiful steam trains work and how the Disney railroad engineer’s keep them going. Learn all about the four different trains that have been in operation since the park’s opening in 1971.


Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour
Ages: 16 & up – guests must have valid ID

Duration: 5 hours
This back-stage tour offers a pulled back curtain look into some of Magic Kingdom’s secrets. Go where other guests are not allowed! Have you heard rumors of underground tunnels in the park? Well they are TRUE and you get to see them! Due to the secretive nature of this tour photo-ops are very limited. Lunch is included with this tour.

Disney's Family Magic Tour
Ages: all ages - geared toward children 4-10

Duration: 2 hours
Have a blast with the kids experiencing this guided scavenger hunt! Solve riddles and find clues – don’t forget your camera!

Epcot Seas Adventures – Dolphins in Depth
Ages: 13 and up
Current price: $199.99
Duration: enjoy 30 minutes of dolphin time
You guys – DOLPHINS! I don’t really even have to say more, do I? Learn about these mammals, enjoy witnessing a training session, and then interact with these guys for 30 minutes in waist-deep water.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (Valid Theme Park Admission Required)

Wild Africa Trek
Ages: 8 and up, must be least 48 inches, between 45-300 lbs., and in good health

Wilderness Back Trail Adventure (Located at The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort)
Ages: 16 and older

Take a Segway tour of the beautiful wooded campgrounds. Visit Tri-Circle-D ranch and ride along crystal clear waters. Relax in the countryside!


ALWAYS arrive early before your tour and be sure to check in at the designated location. Your tour group will not wait for late arrivals. Dress comfortably, and be sure to follow footwear and other dress requirements if applicable. Tipping is not required, but it is always welcome to show your guide some love!

    1. When you're a guest of Disney you do get to enter the park earlier than others but still it's not the same, this is the best way to do it.

  35. We just got back from a trip to Disney with my niece and nephew. They are too little for most of these tours, but maybe on our next trip. I would love to go behind the scenes of the Magic Kingdom. I've always heard amazing things about this tour.

    1. Disney World itself is 4 parks and it always seems like you need a week to do all 4 since I personally can't do a park a day. We're heading there next year for 2 weeks but we're also doing Universal.
