Tips to Get Ready for Back To School - #BackToBgosh #OshKoshKids

Summer is almost over and it's almost time for back to school. It’s when schedule changes and your kids venture off to school and are gone most of the day. The kids have been having a blast with their summer vacation and we've had a few road trips, visits to national parks and even enjoyed the carnival. However, with school almost back in session, it means that our school routine is going to be back in place. There are many ways to prepare yourself and your kids for back to school season, and today we are going to share with you some tips, with the help of OshKosh B'gosh to get ready for back to school. These tips should save your sanity, keep life simple and save you money all the while gearing up to send those kids off to school this Fall.

Get the Calendar Ready
Start preparing a school season calendar now, you know that hustle and bustle of school events, sports and other appointments that come with back to school, so prepare now. Print a free calendar or create a magnetic one using your crafty side, whatever works best for your household do it!

Switch Schedules Around
The freedom of late nights and sleeping in will come to an end, rather than jolting your kids into this strict sleep routine at the last minute, prepare them for the switch of schedules now. About two weeks before back to school arrives start implementing the sleep schedule that is expected during school season.

Nurture Independence
Surely the summer season left your kids being taken care of to a higher level than what happens during the school season. Start nurturing independence now with simple changes such as having them make their own meals, clean up after themselves and lay some tasks on them to complete as a means to reestablish that independent nature you know they have within.

Have your Kids Clean Out
Create a schedule that instructs your kids to get their bedroom, closets and old school backpacks cleaned out. This is where you will find what they can reuse for the upcoming back to school season and what needs to be replaced. Figure out if they need a new backpack or if last year’s bag is clean and ready for reuse.

Discuss Your Kids Needs
Talk to your kids about back to school season, ask them about their feelings and find out if they have any questions about heading into a new grade. Keep an open mind and open communication as moving up in grades can be quite overwhelming for some kids. Ease their nerves by starting communication now. Answer their questions to the best of your ability and reach out to the teacher online for questions you don’t know the answers to.

Start Back to School Shopping
Get prepared for the back to school supply list by shopping earlier on in the season, if you wait for the last minute rush of back to school shopping you will surely spend more cash. Think about what your kids need for clothing and supplies this coming fall season and get them now versus waiting until that last night before school starts.

One of the places that I always shop is at OshKosh B'gosh. Not only can I expect to find clothing of high quality, but I can stretch my dollar. I always start off with a staple such as denim. I would buy at least 2 pairs of jeans and match them with different tops. It is so easy to mix and match clothing at OshKosh B'gosh. Since I was shopping for Madison, I also picked up shoes that would complement her outfits and also got her a few pairs of tights. You can't go wrong with tights since you can match them up with those same tops as well. I can never go into OshKosh B'gosh without going gaga over their clothing line and Madison automatically went straight to a tunic that had a kitty print. I couldn't blame her because it was adorable!

By the time we left, we had a few outfits and we didn't spend an exorbitant amount either. It also helped that I had a 25% off $30 coupon that I'm sharing with you today. You can print it out, or show it on your phone to use in store or use code OKBG3136 online. Find your nearest OshKosh by using their store locator.

If you start preparing for back to school season about two weeks in advance you will find that it’s smooth sailing into the switching of schedules from summer to school. We hope that these tips will help you survive this transition and ease any anxiety your kids may be experiencing with heading back to school.

OshKosh B'gosh knows that style and self-expression go hand in hand and we all know that the perfect outfit is a MUST for successfully entering the school year. That's why they're offering one of my readers the chance to win a $50 gift card. Prize will be delivered by OshKosh B'gosh and the winner will be randomly selected by PromoSimple. The winner will have 48hrs to respond to the winning email or a new winner will be chosen. Good luck!

Are you done with your back to school shopping?
