Embrace the Fragrance: Vera Wang Embrace Marigold and Gardenia – #VWEmbrace

This post was sponsored by Vera Wang Fragrances as part of an Activation for Influence Central. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

I am a big fan of fragrances. Whenever I’m asked, “what do you want for your birthday?”, or “what can I get you?”, my response is almost always the same. Perfume! Nothing screams, I’m a woman, than a nice smelling woman. I grew up mostly in New York City, where public transportation was the norm and it can get very busy and crowded on those NYC buses and subway trains. I remember one day getting on the A train to head into the city. It was pretty early in the morning and a lady came in and sat next to me. OK, I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking “well it’s NYC and since the trains are always crowded, she must not have smelled that great”. Au contraire, she smelled AH-MAZING and I remember asking her what fragrance she was wearing, and she said “It’s Vera Wang”. I knew that day that I just had to have it and I did. Now if you go into my bathroom, you’ll always find a Vera Wang fragrance in there and to show that I’m not kidding, I’ve included a photo below. That’s the most recent one and no-one is allowed to touch it EVER! However, today I want to share with you another amazing fragrance that I recently discovered. It’s the Vera Wang Embrace Marigold and Gardenia fragrance and must I say, it’s a must have in your beauty regimen.

Notice my Vera Wang Truly Pink, while I love it and I use it sparingly whenever I’m going out on special occasions, it doesn’t truly fit in a little clutch so I’m not able to reapply whenever I need a little extra spritz. I’ve never had to but you just never know when you’re going to. The Vera Wang Embrace, in Marigold and Gardenia is, however an entirely different story and is from the Vera Wang Embrace collection. It’s just the right size at 1oz and smells amazing, just as I expected any fragrance made from Vera Wang would be.

So let me tell you about the scent! I’m a big fan of fruity smells, ninety percent of my fragrances in my collection are fruity smells and the Vera Wang Marigold and Gardenia fragrance is just that. With a hint of melon, soft musk, marigold and gardenia, it’s like a burst of spring. I’ve dedicated this fragrance as my “special occasion” fragrance and the first time I wore it, I also got asked “what are you wearing?”. The soft peach color, which you can see a lot better in the photo below, is reminiscent of the first vision of sunlight, enhancing your day and leaving you feeling fresh and embracing your womanhood.

I’ve always been one to feel confident and most recently after turning 40, yes, I am the big 4-0, I’ve talked quite a bit about embracing the skin you’re in. I used to feel uncomfortable dressing up and going out. I also felt uncomfortable sharing photos of myself on the blog because I thought, I wasn’t beautiful enough, I wasn’t skinny enough and I thought that I would have been judged. Well, no more! I’m comfortable in my own skin, I feel beautiful and I’m fabulous and when I’m wearing my Vera Wang Embrace Marigold and Gardenia in it’s dreamy, fruity and floral fragrance, I feel on top of the world!

So if you’re in the market for a new fragrance that will leave you feeling fresh and confident all day long, look no further than the Vera Wang Embrace Marigold and Gardenia available for purchase in-store and online at Kohl’s.
