Seize the Summer with Poise Microliners - #PoiseLinerLove

We have been having really great weather lately and for us that is amazing! If you live in Colorado, you'll know that the weather can change in the blink of an eye. We could be having 80° weather today and tomorrow we'll have 12 inches of snow. That's just how we roll! When the weather is as nice as it is, I sometimes forget that it's Spring, but I like to call it Sprimmer, after all it's summer weather in Spring and it doesn't get any better than that. My summer wardrobe usually calls for shorts and sunglasses and I'm no fashion blogger. I don't even have the body to be a fashion model, but today I want to share with you my summer essentials. You're in for a treat, or maybe a shock for some of you, but I love to embrace my body. I'm no longer the tender age of 20 and in just under a week, I'll be 40 but that doesn't stop me. I'm not sure who told us that we had to be a size 2 to be fly, we can be fly at any size.

This conversation is brought to you by Acorn and Poise. All opinions and lack of style are my own.

Now my summer wardrobe is pretty simple and what you see above is generally what you get. One item that I NEVER leave home without is my Poise Microliners. Summer usually means lighter colors. I have to admit that I'm a dark color closet person, especially in the Winter. I love dark, dark and anything dark. You get the idea. However when Spring and Summer rolls around, I tend to add a splash of color and white. When you go lighter you want to protect those colors. I might have mentioned a few times that I also suffer from LBL (light bladder leakage), yeah it happens when you become my age and have had a child or two, in my case four. So to protect my clothing I always wear my Poise Microliners.

So what exactly are my summer essentials:

1. A pair of sunglasses. I never go anywhere without my sunglasses. While most people don't forget their sunscreen and a wide brim hat, sunglasses are also important. You've got not to only protect your skin but your eyes as well from the harsh glare of the sun. Make sure that your sunglasses are UV protected.

2. Cute Tops - I love anything white with a splash of color. Tees are also good too. Now that the weather has warmed up, don't be afraid to add color to your wardrobe. I like wearing lighter clothing as well because we all know how those temperatures can get in the summer, it truly does give you an incentive to be a better person because it's almost like living in hell.

3. Shorts - Do NOT be afraid to flaunt those legs. My legs aren't stick thin and I know you can see those rolls but embrace the skin you're in. We're not all built like Victoria's Secret super models and you don't have to go super short. You can wear Bermuda's or any length that makes you feel comfortable, but for heaven's sake, put away those jeans.

4. Bag and Wallet - You're going to need a bag and once again I go with white for the summer. Not only does white make everything pop, if you do decide to stick with your dark colors, but it's just a summer color. You're also going to need a bag to hold those poise microliners, cell phone and wallet, believe me on this! Find one that is not too big and is versatile that you can switch up from day to night.

Now that you've read about my essentials you might still be wondering, well what exactly is LBL. Well have you ever laughed so hard or sneezed and leaked a little? Or how about you really have the urge to pee and you rush to the bathroom, but by the time you get there and you're already doing the potty dance, you wet yourself just a little, just as you're pulling those expensive underwear down? Yes that's it! It's happened to me and it can happen to you. You don't have to be as old as me to experience it. Well thanks to Poise, you can seize your summer and your confidence back! I pick mine up at Walmart in the feminine hygiene aisle. Walmart makes it super easy for me because when I go to do any shopping I can just head to the aisle and grab my Poise Micoliners.

Here I am talking about how I just love my Poise Microliners and how I need them, not just the summer but all year long. Poise Microliners gives me one less thing to worry about in the summer. They keep me fresh and clean and because they're so super thin you won't even know that you're wearing them. So pick yours up at Walmart today!

Let's discuss: How are you planning on seizing the summer?

Outfit:

Shirt - Vince Camuto
Shorts - Joes Jeans
Shoes - Christian Siriano
Sunglasses - Ray-Ban
Bag/Wallet - Michael Kors

  2. Yup, I agree with you 100%, sometimes when you wear something you have to take so many factors into consideration, but when you have your must haves down, you can get dressed easier. So glad spring and summer are rolling around.

    1. These products aren't just for leaks but think about after your period when you still need protection for your underwear. I'm happy to hear that you don't need them NOW, but keep them in mind for when you do.

      1. Women are ashamed to say that they suffer from LBL or
      2. They are afraid to talk about it.

I've always wondered why it's such a taboo subject.

  16. Poise in an amazing product! I like to keep them handy in my gym bag because leaks tend to happen there the most. Your outfit is fabulous, as is that amazing shade of purple in your hair!

    1. Thank you Theresa. Leaks do tend to happen at the most inopportune time as well. I keep them handy at all times. If I have to wait in line for the bathroom and I barely make it, trust me, it's going to happen.

I've been doing at least a 100 a day for the last who-remembers-how-many years! It's so awesome that many motivational Kegel videos are easily available for free on youtube now.
