Chuck E. Cheese’s puts the fun in FUNdraising by supporting Big Brothers Big Sisters – (Giveaway)

We all know the jingle, “Chuck E. Cheese’s, where a kid can be a kid”, and I have to agree that no-one knows how to make it fun for kids like Chuck E. Cheese’s. Madison is a big fan of Chuck and for her 2nd birthday, we threw a big birthday bash there. Since then I occasionally take her there for a treat and we always have a grand old time, yes even me. Not only is it affordable, but the convenience of having both a ‘playground’ as I like to call it, complete with food is definitely mom approved. I just love their pizza and so does Madison, you’ve most certainly have to give their new thin + crispy pizza the next time you visit. On our most recent visit, however, we found out that not only was Chuck E. Cheese’s still fun, but they were also in the process of doing some good. See for the entire month of April (National Volunteer Month) they are doing a Nationwide Wide Fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters. On 3/31/2016 for the Nationwide Fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and they are asking for your help to raise funds.

Just like many of you, I had heard of Big Brothers Big Sisters but I had no idea really what it was all about. So what exactly is Big Brothers Big Sisters?

“For more than 100 years, Big Brothers Big Sisters has operated under the belief that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. As the nation’s largest donor and volunteer supported mentoring network, Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.”

I am all for helping out those less fortunate than we are, especially children. In this case we were helping children facing adversities (“Littles”), get matched with adult volunteers (“Bigs”). This way they can foster strong, enduring and professionally supported relationships to change lives for the better. Sometimes all you need is a mentor to make your life a lot more meaningful.

It is also super easy to donate. All you have to do while visiting Chuck E. Cheese’s is mention Big Brothers Big Sisters at the register while paying for your food, buying your tokens, etc., or you can even donate by going in and donating just because you want to. Starting at just $1, no donation is too big or too small.

With this being National Volunteer work, I implore you to find some way that you can help out in your community. Maybe you can help at the local library or community center, or even start a collection of canned foods that you can give to the local food bank. It doesn’t have to take a lot of money at all. Or even donate to Chuck E. Cheese’s fundraiser to the Big Brothers Big Sisters nonprofit organization and help match “Littles” with their “Big” mentors right in your very own hometown. So find your closest Chuck E. Cheese’s and lets put the FUN in FUNdraising!

Let’s discuss: In what ways do you volunteer in your community?

Chuck E. Cheese’s wants to give one of my readers the opportunity to experience what it’s like to have fun. 1 winner will receive a guess pass (good for 1 large pizza, 4 fountain drinks and 30 tokens) and 1,000 tickets. Winner will have 48hrs to respond to the winning email. Failure to do so will mean forfeiting your prize and a new winner will be chosen. Good luck!
