Added Home Security Without the Contract

As a parent I want my family to not only feel safe but to be safe. It's why when you're buying a home you not only look for a home in the school area you want your kids to go to, but you look for the safest neighborhood you can find. I live in a very safe neighborhood and it may be one of the safest in Colorado Springs. I also live in a cul-de-sac and my 3 year old would run across the street to the neighbor's house. The only people who come my way are the people who live here, the people who are visiting someone here and those who are lost.  Although we have a neighborhood watch, along with the sheriff's office patrolling the area, almost everyone still has added security, including me. Unfortunately for me I also am in a contract so I have to pay monthly to have the added protection. I wish I had known about this little gadget before I signed on that dotted line. When asked to give the Kodak Video Monitor  CFH-V15 a try I was intrigued. After all how much better would it really be and without a contract to boot? Was I surprised.

The Kodak CFH-V15 HD Wi-Fi Video Monitoring Security Camera  comes with Pan, Tilt, Zoom and a Lifetime 1-Day Cloud Storage. While there are premium plans that you can subscribe to such as the 14-Day ($9.99/mo.) or 30-Day Cloud Storage plans ($19.99/mo.), I was more than happy with the 24 hour storage that it comes with. That way I can look back at recorded video clips from the past 24 hours totally free.

Set up of the video monitor was a breeze. Included in the box was the video monitor, the power supply cord, mounting screws and the instruction manual. First I needed to download the iSecurity+ app which I found easily in the app store. I plugged in my video monitor to a power outlet and the camera rotated and the light flashed green indicating that my monitor was ready for set up. I connected the video monitor to my home network then set up the app. Remember you need to set up the camera BEFORE the app. I was able to create a username and password and then we were ready to go.

While I have a camera in the front of my house I wanted a camera that would give me more of a view at my front door. My camera from my security company doesn't show who's at the door since it's like a blind spot so I was now able to get one that did. I was able to log into my camera from my phone and see what was going on outside of my home. The quality of the video was also pretty good as you can see from the screenshot I took. Don't worry the Kodak CFH-V15 also comes with a night vision mode for those worried about night time security. I can tilt the camera from right there on my phone so I can see all around. One of the feature that I just love. I can also talk to whoever it is at the front door by using the built-in mic and speaker via the iSecurity+ app on my mobile device.

So why pay all that extra money to the other company for extra cameras when you can get the added home security you need without the contract? I am more than happy with the the Kodak CFH-V15 HD Wi-Fi Video Monitoring Security Camera and have plans on getting a few more to place in areas that are lacking cameras, such as the back of the house. So no matter where I am I can now keep an eye on who's coming and going. I have been recommending to my friends and family and I am now recommending it to you.

Let's discuss: In what ways will the Kodak CFH-V15 give you added piece of mind?

Here are the ways you can connect with Kodak:

  3. This camera looks like what I need! They broke into our home (a 3rd floor apartment via Window????????!?) back in 2013 and they have yet to catch the person... Now I get packages stolen from right outside my door. I'd have added piece of mind knowing EVERYTHING is being watched...

  14. Such a great camera for security purposes. If CCTVs here in our country is very clear such as this, it would be very easy to identify those trouble makers caught on cam.
