Just For Me is Right For Me and My Natural Hair - #HappyHairtime #5FingerChallenge

I participated in a Influencer Activation on behalf of Influence Central forJust For Me. I received product samples to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for my participation.

I recently introduced the Just For Me Hair Milk Collection which consisted of products that made it easy for my pre-schooler to wash, condition and detangle her hair. We even did the 5 Finger Challenge and boy was it easy to do. Now the Just For Me Hair Milk Collection is pretty new but Just For Me has been around for years. Actually my oldest who is now 19 used to use Just For Me when she was younger, or should I say, I use to use Just For Me in her hair when she was younger. It worked great then and it works just as great now. When I thought it couldn't get any better, they sent me some more products to test and these were just as amazing! Actually they were right for me and my natural hair.

So before I used these products I did a wash with the other collection of course. I waited and decided to show you her hair the way it is the day after. Being Caribbean-American with hair that is different textured throughout, it is very hard maintaining it and keeping it moisturized. It just seems that in Colorado, the altitude just sucks all the moisture from her hair. There is absolutely no humidity here so it's almost always dry and we have to moisturize, moisturize, MOISTURIZE! I've been doing quite a lot of protective styles to keep it the way I want. Protective styling is something that people of black heritage know a lot about and it's why we do all the braids and weaves. It's not only to look good but to keep our hair protected from the elements. I recently did a post where you can see some of the protective styles that we have been using.

If you paid attention to the very first photo of Madison you can see how dry and frizzy her hair is. She has a lot of fine hair around her edges that won't ever stay. I was grateful that these products from Just For Me just worked wonders. I was able to get her edges to stay down and her hair just seemed to look so much better.

The products that were sent were:

The Curl Perfecter: This one I used throughout her to define her curls. It stretched her hair out making it easier to put into a ponytail holder. It has a nice creamy texture and smells amazing.

The Curl Smoother: This is the one that I really loved. Since Madison's hair is usually frizzy, this one controls the frizz. It is lightweight and I was amazed at how well it kept the moisture in her hair. Didn't leave her hair crunchy but soft to the touch.

The Smoothing Edges Crème: This is what I used to keep her edges down. I love this because it's alcohol free and it really really worked. I was able to keep her baby hair down all day.

Now this style was one we achieved using the above products. Bantu Knots work out for us especially after a hair wash. They are super easy to achieve. For those who didn't read my protective styling post I'll once again let you know how it's done. After washing and detangling, you part your hair in as many size you want. For smaller curls you may want to do smaller parts in your hair. We did bigger ones which give a looser curl at the end. You simply twist the hair together and seal with a rubber band. Simply take the hair out the next day and you'll have some amazing curls.

Now don't just take my word for it. Grab a few of the products and give them a try yourself. You'll be amazed at how amazing your hair feels. And remember to do the 5 Finger Challenge and get your friend to join in as well. You'll be able to run your fingers through your little one's hair without a care letting you know that these products do work.

So where can you find the new Just For me Hair Milk Collection? You can find them at your own local Walmart for the low price of $5. Who said hair care products had to be expensive?
