Creamy Tropical Smoothie‏ #Recipe

We haven’t finished with Spring as yet but Summer is almost here. Well it seems that way to us. We’ve been getting really great weather although we do have our Spring showers. Summer is when it officially becomes smoothie weather, but why wait until summer. Why not get your smoothie fix now? Last year we shared quite a few summer smoothies and this year we’ll be doing the same. Smoothies are not only delicious and a great way to get your fruit fix but for those who generally skip breakfast, like I do, getting a glass filled with fruits and veggies is a great way to start your day. Today’s recipe is all about the tropics and you can find the ingredients at your local supermarket. I guarantee that you’ll love our Creamy Tropical Smoothie.

Makes two 14-ounce smoothies.

Here is what you’ll need:

Ingredients

1 cup fresh pineapple

1 cup fresh orange

1 mango, peeled

1 banana

1/2 cup vanilla yogurt

1 cup coconut milk vanilla creamer

Sweetener of your choice, if desired

Instructions

1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth and frothy.

2. Taste and add sweetener, if desired.

3. Serve immediately or store, covered in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake well before serving.

Notes:

If you like a thicker/colder smoothie, you can add some ice when you blend it. And if you like it thinner, just add more liquid.

I use creamer to make it creamier but still keep it light. Any creamer or half & half will work too.
