Stuffed Steak Rolls #Recipe


Last week was a rather stressful week for us. We had quite a lot of personal things going on including a few hospital visits. You may have noticed that we were missing all of last week with no posts. We didn't blog visit or even work on our own blog. The week was spent taking care of sick toddler who just seemed to get worse. Hopefully things will calm down a bit this week and to start it off right, we have a few things scheduled for you. I don't normally post on the weekend but since we didn't do anything last week, I figured why not. Today I want to share with you something that I think you and your family will love as much as mine did. If you're looking to try something new for dinner, how about these delicious Stuffed Steak Rolls.


Here is what you'll need:

Ingredients

* Steaks (We used a thin cut Denver, but anything will work)

* Pepper Jack Cheese

* Onions

* Green Peppers

* Grape tomatoes

* Garlic Salt

* Black Pepper

* Oregano

* Basil


Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Pound the steaks flat to tenderize and make thinner. Rub the steaks with the garlic salt, black pepper, oregano and basil. I have used the fresh herb pastes in recipes like this and it works great! If pounding the steak does not thin it out enough for stuffing portion you may want to butterfly the steaks before rubbing with the seasonings.


Slice the peppers and onions very thin.

Cut the tomatoes in half or quarters.


Layer the peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cheese on the herb rubbed steak. Roll the steak up fairly tightly and tie with baker’s twine.


Place a baking rack inside a baking sheet. Place the steak on the baking rack and place in the preheated oven. Cook to desired doneness. The steak will be fairly thin, so be aware that the steak will cook rather quickly.


Turn the steaks halfway through to make sure they cook evenly and to prevent them from drying out.

Remove the Stuffed Steak Rolls from the oven and allow them to rest for 5 minutes before serving.


For a very attractive serving option untie and slice the steak rolls into 1” pieces, each creating a pinwheel look.

Serve with your choice of sides and enjoy!
