Soft Star Shoes for Happy Healthy Feet

I think that when it comes to shoes that I know quite a bit about them. After all I've reviewed quite a lot of shoes here on Growing Up Madison. I tend to only review shoes that I know that I will love and that my readers will love as well. If a shoe doesn't meet our standards you won't see it on Growing Up Madison and that is our guarantee. So it is with that guarantee that I introduce to you another shoe company that I know that you will love as much as I do. Introducing Soft Star Shoes. Now just because they're spotlighted on my blog doesn't mean that they're only for kids like most of the shoes I review. Luckily for you adults as well, they also make shoes for you too. Yes they design shoes for babies, toddlers, kids and adults.

Now for a little history behind Soft Star Shoes. They began their journey in 1984 when Tim Oliver and his wife decided that they wanted soft quality shoes for their little one. As with most business, they first started out in their garage and I'm happy that decided to start offering their shoes to others with their online shop in 2005. Their shoes have sold to hundreds of families, celebrities and even a US President. It makes me feel honored to know that I get to wear a shoe that even a President has deemed worthy of wearing.

I was given the chance to review their Rambler and I'm really happy I did. First before I go into everything I loved about the shoe, you may want to take note of what I'm going to tell you next. I currently wear size 8.5/9 in toddler shoes and was sent the size 10. I'm lucky that they did send size 10 because it fits just right although my toes are all the way up. So granted to say that they run about 1 - 1.5 size smaller than your average shoe.

Now on to what I loved about these shoes. They are perfect for both indoor and outdoor play and here's another thing I loved. They are wide enough for my wide feet. Yes I have wide feet and while there are a lot of cute shoes out there, not many of them fit my feet well. These do and I couldn't be more happy. These shoes are all handcrafted from natural leather and we all know that leather conforms to your feet and is actually recommended for little one's feet.

The sole is made of rubber and and has little grippers that prevents your little one from sliding around. The leather that this shoe is made from is water resistant and it has an inner elastic making it easy to put on and off.  They can also be worn with or without socks.

For those who know me or if you've been a regular reader you may have realized that I don't like wearing socks. I also don't like wearing shoes unless I have to. I would much rather be barefoot. Here's another plus with these shoes. If your little one likes being barefoot then these would be perfect. They are lightweight and so flexible that your little one will not even realize that they have them on.

So what are my overall impression of Soft Star Shoes? I LOVE THEM! I love the flexibility, I love the fact that they are easy to go on and off. I love that they are designed for wide feet like mine. I love that they are made of leather so they can conform to my feet. I love the craftmanship and I love that they are made in the USA. I love them and that's why they get my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!

  19. So cute! Not very seasonal friendly for where I live currently, but these would be great shoes for in the summer! I hope they have pairs for boys also... I think those look like something that my nephews could even put on themselves. They have fat little feet so the extra wide bottoms will be great for them!
