Get Creative with Creator Box - Giveaway

This is a sponsored review with Mums the Word Network and Creator Box . All opinions are my own.

The summer is over and that means that the weather has gotten cooler. When it does the kids are usually indoors and boredom sometimes sets in. I know with my brothers it doesn't take much for them to get bored. Mikael my 9 year old brother who is autistic always has to be doing something. Kyle my older brother can entertain himself for hours on the computer but Mikael loves being on the go. He's also very creative and loves using his hands. When mommy was given the chance to review a brand new box that would help with his creativity she took it. After all there is only so much she can do to keep him entertained. Introducing Creator Box! It's a monthly service for kids that sends them a monthly project which also helps with learning. Every month, they deliver a new build-it-yourself toy, and a learning guide with inspiration, instructions, lessons and challenges. There are currently two subscription packages. An Intro-Creator Track which provides up to 10 projects for $19.95 and a Smart Tech Design Tracks with Little Bits which builds up to 6 projects for $39.95. The Smart Tech Design Tracks are motorized projects.

My brother this month received the Creator Box Catapult kit and he couldn't wait to get started. One of the things recommended by Creator Box is that kids do most of the work. There are a few things that adults do help with but please don't take over!

Now the guide comes with a little history about "The Mighty Catapult". Did you know that two thousand years ago the Romans dominated the world. One of their most effective weapons was the catapult! The Romans built catapults so that they could hurl large stones or boulders at their enemies, and smash through the walls of forts or cities. Arrows and swords were no match for the mighty catapult!

The Creator Box comes with everything needed to built the catapult. Mommy didn't have to worry that she needed to go and find something to use because everything needed was included. Mikael because he's 9 decided that he wanted to do it all on his own, even glue the parts that needed to be glued together.

The design instructions was really easy to follow and if you have an older child that's really great at following directions they'll have no problems.

It was amazing seeing the finished project and he felt such a big accomplishment knowing that he did it all by himself.

Your kids are going to love this subscription. I know that my brother did and he had a lot of fun actually playing with his catapult when it was all done as well. Now he just has to decorate it to make it fully his and much more beautiful than it is right now.

The guide comes with activities that you can do with your kids and you can share your creation after you are finished building your project. Simply take a picture or video and share it using the hastag #CreatorBox.

Now if you want to get a subscription I do have 2 coupons to share with you. You won't regret getting a subscription for your little one at all.
  • 5CB = $5 off first single box purchase
  • 50Sub = 50% off first box in subscription purchase

Mikael loves his Creator Box and says it gets his BIG KIDS THUMBS UP!

  1. That is really amazing how you can make such a complex little creation from such a small amount of materials. This is sure to be a winner with kids an spark many imaginations!

  2. We usually play board games when we're stuck indoors. I think my nephew would really enjoy this.

  3. We do lots of crafts and baking.

  4. Our 4 year old son would love this - he loves building things!

  5. This looks incredible. I think that so many parents want to instill creativity in their kiddos - yet struggle with being able to set up and come up with engaging projects in the home. Creator Box looks like a great solution and an amazing gift too! Look at that fantastic catapult!

  6. This looks like a lot of fun. Due the the incredibly long (and cold) winters we tend to go through a lot of crafts.

  7. What a great toy! One that can be built by the youngster mostly all by him or herself. This would make a great gift if you know someone who is age appropriate (or has a Dad who loves to build things!)

  8. We love board games and making treats.

  9. Those boxes look great for adding STEM for kids!

  10. For me personally I love when fall comes and I get back to knitting!

  11. We love to do crafts and puzzles

  12. I keep a huge tote with things for crafts of any kind. Lace, buttons, paint, glue, stickers, etc

  13. We play board games, video games, paint and do crafts.

  14. Board games and puzzles are usually what we do.

  15. We do the board games but I love to fill the colder months with crafts and kitchen activities. I really have found that if a child helps prepare a meal they are more apt to eat it. Even if it has things in there that they are not generally fond of. It also fills the time with fun and we bond and laugh in the kitchen. Even if we leave something in the oven too long and it burns . We have something to laugh about as no one is perfect! Not even grown ups. We grown ups forget that part sometimes.. Box play is a huge part of our winter activities. A simple empty box or 2 can become anything in the world you can imagine!

  16. We do many crafts in doors in the cooler weather and more game nights with HOT COCOA!!!
