Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby

When it comes to make believe there is no other toy that does for for little ones like a doll. Yes boys can play with dolls too but they call them by a different name, action figures. There has been lots of benefits associated with playing with dolls such as imagination building, motor skills and coordination, role play plus more. I actually learned how to take my clothes off by having a doll whose clothes was removable, and yes I do have tea time with my dolls as well. I think a toddler can never have too many dolls. With the market flooded with lots of different dolls that do so many different things, it may be hard choosing the one that you love the most. Well I'm here to introduce you to one that I think you would love and should get. Introducing the Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby by Hasbro.

I love playing with dolls and they all do different things. The Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby comes in a try me box. This is great for those who want to try them in stores and see if their little ones would love it. While it is recommended that batteries be replaced, mommy and I have found that the demo batteries actually last a pretty long time before it really has to be replaced.

This is the first doll I have gotten where the battery compartment is in her head and not in her body, and I have to admit that she does have a pretty hard head. Almost like me. She does need 2 AAA batteries once they do need to be replaced.

While she is recommended for ages 3+, there are no small parts for your little one to deal with so the choking hazard is out of the question. However because of her hard head I can see your little one probably hitting themselves with her, but still it won't hurt that much. I am 2 and 1/2 years old now and I play with her just fine.

She has a soft body minus her limbs and comes fully clothed. Her clothing cannot be removed though so that is a bummer. She can however be wiped clean with a damp cloth.

So how do I play with her? That is very easy. She's a fully interactive doll and I start off by holding her left hand. Once I do that she gives me a little command and then I take over. One of the ones that she loves is for me to twirl her around and swing her higher. The more I do so the mores she giggles. She also loves to bounce and loves being cuddled. After a period of inactivity she does go to sleep. All it takes a slight press of her left hand to get her going again. If you notice the picture below the sound all comes from her head through that cute little flower headband which is her speaker.

The details of her face is very well done and is painted on. Once again no eye lashes or hair to fall out. Yes it has happened to one of my dolls and I wasn't very happy so I was happy that this doesn't pose that problem.

I had quite a lot of fun playing with my Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby and I just love hearing her giggle. At the end she asked for a big hug which I was oh only to happy to give.

So if you're looking for an interactive doll for your little one I would highly suggest picking up the Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby for your little one. It's available in blonde or brunette and not very expensive either. For the low price of $19.99 you can hear your little one giggle and build their imaginative play. The Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!

The Baby Alive Plays and Giggles Baby is currently available for purchase at the Hasbro Toy Store, Amazon, Walmart, Target and ToysRUs.

  2. I bought my niece a Baby Alive doll last year that she still has. They have the most interactive dolls and she loves them. I'll have to see about getting this one for her as well. Especially since it's not expensive either compared to others.
