Tsukihoshi Shoes - Fashionable, Fun and Functional!

Disclaimer: I received products  for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

OK so maybe you're like me and you're thinking what? What's the name of the brand? How do you even pronounce that? Well no need to worry, that's what I am here for. Madison to the rescue. Tsukihosi (SKI-HO-SHE) is one of Japan's oldest and most esteemed footwear companies having been making shoes for over 135 years. Now when you've been around that long you have to know what you're doing. As a toddler I'm not looking for a shoe that's boring. I want color, I want pizzazz and I want something that screams "look at me". Mommy on the other hand wants something that's functional, versatile and won't break her budget. Tsukihoshi delivered!

As most of you may also know, my 9 year old brother Mikael is Autistic and Tsukihoshi is a proud sponsor of Autism Speaks. Any company that supports something we strongly believe in is a winner in our books.

Mommy and I were sent the Glitz. Well I should say that I was sent the Glitz since Tsukihoshi only makes shoes for babies, toddlers and youths. Their sizes range from baby 3 - youth 5.5. Each of their shoe is designed to help promote the healthy development and growth of your child's foot. Their shoes are also accepted in the American Podiatric Medical Association.

Now besides the vibrant colors which are truly eye catching, Tsukihoshi really made sure that when they make their shoes they were all up to standard. They took care of every detail. For example, threaded durable rubber outsole which is very flexible. Now you won't be worrying about tripping and sliding around in these. Perfect for those days when there's snow on the ground but even better in the summer for the slides.

It is very lightweight and flexible. One thing that mommy and I love in a shoe is flexibility. You need a shoe that works with your feet not against it. So whenever I run this runs right along with me. It allows my foot to bend the way it is supposed to. The weight of this shoe makes it feel like you're running barefoot which is another thing that we loved.

Now this shoe may look like it has laces but it is really just there for style. This is actually a laceless design and goes on and off via velcro tabs which makes it easy for me to take on and off. It really helps with my independent skill building. Now I don't need help because there are no laces. I can do this all by myself. This is also perfect for the big kids who also don't know how to tie laces.

They are also made of reflective safety materials and has a removable antibacterial insoles. There is also an arch insole cup which helps support the proper growth of your little ones feet. With a shock absorbent heel you can jump and jump and jump!

There is one thing that I also need to mention. Something that is not found in a LOT of shoes. These shoes are ALL machine washable! Yes they are, so there is a way to keep them clean and looking new. Great for those with stinky feet like my brothers.

Now I have to warn you a bit about the sizing. I am a little bigger than a size 7.5 toddler but I always wear a size 8. With most size 8 there is a bit of room for me to wiggle my toes around. With this line you may want to go up a 1/2 size larger. The size 8 fit true to size so this will only be great for the summer. That's perfect because the color is truly summer colors.

Tsukihoshi line of shoes is a great line of shoes for kids. Helping with the proper development of their feet. Fashional, Fun, Functional  and Affordable it's no wonder Tsukihoshi gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP! Now all I need to do is learn how to pronounce the name properly.

You can purchase your very own pair of Tsukihoshi shoes at Nordstrom stores and higher-end independent children's shoe retailers across the US, Canada or Australia. Just check out their store locator to find your nearest store.

Here are the ways to connect with Tsukihoshi:
