Welcome to the Baby Box Company

Disclaimer: I received products  for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

Mommy and I were recently contacted by a unique company that caters to expectant moms. With something like this we just had to share it with you my readers. After all most of you are moms and may know someone expecting. How about those hundreds of baby showers you are invited to every year. This is definitely the thing for that. The Baby Box Co. is a company inspired by the 75 year old tradition in Finland. The state provides expectant mothers of box of essentials known as a "starter kit" for the new mom. Research has shown that once the boxes were introduced in Finland, infant mortality rates plummeted, and it is now considered one of the very best countries in the world to be a mother. The Baby Box Co. has taken the concept of the "starter kit" box and brought it to the United States in a unique and exciting way!

Mommy and I just loved the box. Notice the owls? As you know I am obsessed with owls and I just think that the theme is very unisex and looks great in any nursery. What you may not know about this box though is that it's no ordinary box. This box actually contains a bassinet mattress and can be used as a bed for your little one. Since I had no little one to show you I decided to use my Minnie Mouse since she is only slightly bigger than a newborn. This Bed Box can be purchased separately for only $75.

Now this is a warning for those purchasing the Bed Box separately. The Bed Box is not a transportation device and is to remain stationary while your baby is inside. It is made of very sturdy cardboard just like a box so you need to be careful. While the mattress has a waterproof lining the box isn't so you want to not get it wet. Also keep away from extreme heat and open flame since cardboard is a flammable material.

Now that I've told you about the Bed Box which is totally cool we want to go ahead and show you what we received. There are quite a few collections to choose from on the Baby Box Co website but mommy and I received the Unisex Basic Baby Box - Retail Value $150. This is the perfect box for those moms who don't yet know the gender of their baby.

Everything on the inside is just what a new mom wants to bring baby home. There was also a detailed letter explaining what was in the box and tips and resources on each item. I know a lot of new moms would value the information in the letter. These were all quality items that every new mom would enjoy and so would baby.

Here is what was in my box:

Aden and Anais Swaddle Blankets

Healthcare Kit

All natural baby wipes

An Angel Dear Lovey, Burp Cloths and Washcloths.

Onesies, Socks, Mittens and Hats.

2 Pack Pacifier and Bib.

Earth Mama Angel Baby products. This included the Angel Baby Bottom Balm 1oz, Angel Baby Shampoo and Body Wash 1.67oz, Angel Baby Lotion 2oz and Angel Baby oil 1oz.

If that wasn't enough the box also came with an envelope for mom which included samples and coupons. We are really loving this service. As I mentioned, not only is this great for the new mom who wants to get a box for her self but this is great for baby showers and gifting. The goodies in there are all well thought out and I love the fact that they are all natural. No harsh chemicals for your little one.

The cost of box collection vary in prices from $75 for the the Box Bed - $450 for the Everything But the Stork Box. Use coupon BABYLOVE15 for 15% off your total purchase as a gift from the Baby Box Co.

  19. This is really great. I did an news piece about Finland a few months ago. They send boxes like this home with every new mother for free and its full of summer and mostly winter clothing for their babies. I always felt it was a great program and wished our government would latch on to something like that.
