Austin Lloyd April 2-3 Years Toddler Box - Review & Giveaway

Disclaimer: I received products  for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

There is a new subscription box on the scene and one that I just have to share with you. Austin Lloyd is a another great subscription box company for your little ones from infancy to toddlerhood. While other subscription boxes are based on monthly ages, Austin Lloyd does it by play level and focuses on physical, cognitive and milestones. There are 5 play levels in all: 0-5 months, 6-12 months, 13-18 months, 19-24 months and 2-3 years. Being 27 months old I received the 2-3 years box. You receive 4-5 toys catered just for your skill level. Subscription is $49.99/month but doing a 6 month subscription can save you $5 making it 44.99/month. One of the things that mommy and I love about Austin Lloyd is that you can receive your boxes every other month. You do not have to receive it every month. Your subscription renews automatically but you can cancel at anytime. After you have played with your toys and you decide that you no longer have any interest in them, you can ship them back to Austin Lloyd and they'll donate them for you. That's awesome! Return shipping is absolutely FREE! Now onto what we got in my 2-3 year old box!

Now I have to give props to Austin Lloyd for presentation. When I opened my box I was absolutely amazed at the minute details they took the time to do. It was no nicely wrapped with a cute little bow and there was a card with my name attached. That really made me feel special.

The theme for the month was Blooming Gardens for play level 2-3 years old and the card on the inside of my envelope read:
This is an exciting time as older toddlers are using their growing language skills to tell you what they are thinking and feeling. They are also building friendships with other children. And their growing physical skills - walking, running and climbing - help them to explore the world in more adventurous ways.
I couldn't wait to get into my box.

Each item in the box comes complete with a card describing the toy and the retail value. I just love when companies make it easy for me and this couldn't have been easier. Now on to my Blooming Gardens box.

Primary Puzzle by Guide Craft - $12.95

The big, chunky pieces of these colorful little puzzles are easy for toddlers and preschoolers to grasp and allow for puzzles to be assembled flat or 3-dimensionally. Familiar objects with only 5-7 pieces per puzzle give children confidence.
I am loving that a puzzle was included in my box. I am a huge fan of puzzles and the fact that this one is 3 dimensional gives me more a challenge even though there aren't that many pieces. This really helps with my cognitive skills and I am highly impressed.

Bird Whistle by Kid O Products - $4.00

Our founder's mom told her that she used to always wake up up with the birds (poor mom!). To this day, our founder loves to hear the birds chirping whenever she walks around in a garden.
Shiny and sleek with varying colors of green, red, or blue these little bird shaped whistles give any fun-loving child a totally exciting experience.
I had a blast trying to blow this whistle. It took a while for me to get the hang of it. Mommy had to help me because I kept putting the entire thing in my mouth and couldn't figure out why it wasn't making the same sound like mommy when she did it for me. Now I think I've gotten it and this is going to be with me constantly while I blow around the house.

Build a Bug Sorter by Hape Toys - $19.55

Multi-layered bugs encourage counting, sorting, and color identification. Count the pieces. Count the holes. Name the colors.
This is such a mulit-functional toy. It is not only a sorter but a puzzle as well and with so much to do. I had a lot of fun taking it apart and putting it back together. So far I have been learning my colors on it and shapes. Mommy and I have even begin counting and since it only goes to 4 it is pretty easy to do. This was another hit with me!

Teenie Greenies The Little Gardener Board Book - $6.29

What does it take to become a little gardener? It takes more than just seeds and water. Lift the flaps in this bright board book and find out all you need to know in order to create and care for your very own garden!
I'm a book lover and whenever I receive a new book I'm always happy. I love that Austin Lloyd included a book in my box. With the lift a flap option to boot. Here is another book that I intend to read over and over again.

Ready, Set, Go! Car by Manhattan Toys - $14.99

Vroom. This ultra grassy green and eye-catching sky blue classic wooden car will shift playtime into high gear with its sleek contemporary lines and vibrant color combinations. Rubber outer wheels give traction, speed and a smooth ride to these classy creations.
While not exactly part of a "blooming garden," we love these cars for their durability and spring time colors.
Even though I'm a girl I'm a big fan of cars. I am always trying to get the ones my brothers play with so I was super excited to be getting my very own. This one was very easy to push around and the rubber wheels are a nice touch too! My physical skills are so going to be used up with this one.

I really enjoyed everything in my Austin Lloyd box even the wrapping paper which I think was the highlight of the box. It was so much fun rolling around on it and being the little kid that I am.

The total of my Austin Lloyd Subscription box was  $57.78. You can sign up for your very own subscription box and SAVE 10% by using code MADISON532 thru May 31, 2014.
