When it comes to games that little kids love and enjoy, Blue Orange has that market covered. I love playing games, usually by myself because I haven’t gotten the hang of sharing and taking turns. Like most toddlers I still believe that everything belongs to me, whether someone else name is on it or not. I really don’t like sharing my toys so playing a game that involves more than one person isn’t my cup of tea. When Blue Orange decided to send me Zimbbos I was first mesmerized by the stacking elephants. They were really colorful and I was so looking forward to getting it and begin my stacking game!

The elephants are ready to impress in this thrilling building game for kids. Help the circus troupe in their star attraction but don’t let them fall! Taking turns, roll the die to find out how many elephants you must stack on to the pyramid. The player who manages to place the last elephant wins. The perfect first game, Zimbbos teaches color recognition, counting, and develops dexterity and balance awareness. This all wooden building game is sustainably made.

AGES 3 AND UP • 1-4 PLAYERS

Zimbbos is recommended for ages 3+ and is a 1-4 player game. Since it can be played by just one person it makes a great game for those even younger like myself. Play time can last anywhere from 5 – 10 minutes if  you play with others but by yourself you can take as much time as you want.

Now Zimbbos comes with 10 wooden Elephants, 1 Gorilla, 1 Lion, 1 Bear, 2 wooden jokers, 3 wooden balancing bars, 1 wooden die and illustrated rules. The object of the game is to build a pyramid with the blocks based on the outcome of the die you roll. The winner is the one who place the #10 elephant on the pyramid. Begin by rolling the die to find out how many animals to need to add to the pyramid. If you roll a star you get to add a balancing bar or a joker on the pyramid. You can always build on the same level, or higher but never lower. The pieces may be placed right side up or upside down.

It’s both a game and a toy and I totally enjoyed playing with the high quality wooden elephants and stacking them any way I liked. I really enjoyed trying to stack them and had lots of fun knocking them over as well. They wooden pieces are truly beautiful with their vibrant colors and attractive designs. They have received the Oppeheim Gold Seal Award along with Dr. Toy 10 Best Games and Parents Choice Silver Honor. This game is a must have for the younger crowd. All Blue Orange Games meet or exceed all US toy safety standards so there’s no need to worry about your little one’s safety.

This game teaches your little ones about different animals, colors, counting, creativity, balance and dexterity. It also encourages turn taking when your little one is old enough to learn to play with others as well. With it being a game and a toy in one and made from exceptional material I can’t give anything but my love for this. I have been playing with this for a while and the paint has remained intact and there hasn’t been any chipping or wearing away. Blue Orange Games and Zimbbos gets my TWO TINY THUMBS UP!
