Giggle With the GiggleBellies Review & Giveaway

Disclosure: I received products from the GiggleBellies for review purposes. No other compensation was received. Though the products were free, opinions are 100% my very own.

I am going to be honest with you. It's one of the things you love about me right? Yes I try to be as honest as I can. Call me Honest Madison! OK so you're probably wondering what I'm going to say. What does Madison have to be honest about? Get to the point already why won't you! OK I am going to be honest with you! I had never heard of TheGiggleBellies before I was offered the chance to do a review for them. How had I never heard of The GiggleBellies before now? I must have been living under a rock. I blame it all on mommy, she isn't a big fan of TV but surely even she must have heard of this award winning DVD. Unfortunately she hadn't but I was so glad that she decided to do the review. Boy was I missing out on a lot of fun!

Mommy and I were sent The GiggleBellies Ultimate Fan Pack, which included Peanut the Plush Elephant, plus all three GiggleBellies Musical Adventures DVDs (Volumes #1, #2, Sweet Songs & Lullabies). Peanut is actually pretty soft and make the perfect companion. He is 12" tall and check out his polka dotted body. Isn't he just lovable? With no small parts Peanut makes the perfect friend for even your little one. Before I go into my review though, let me tell you a bit about the GiggleBellies.

  • “The GiggleBellies Musical Adventures” DVD series is designed to engage, teach and inspire creative thinking through a blend of upbeat songs, unique characters, and colorful whimsical animations. It is no secret that the majority of young children have short attention spans and to keep them engaged they need stimulation. Just ask any mom and she’ll tell you that young kids tend to get into everything and are constantly on the move.
Ok they weren't lying when they said that these videos were meant to engage my short attention span. I can never sit still for too long. I have favorite movies but even while watching those I would have to get up and do something, return to my seat, get up and do something else, return again, rinse and repeat for about 10 more times until I just stop watching altogether. Not with the GiggleBellies. I was entranced! Don't believe me? Look at me in that photo below! I couldn't take my eyes off the TV.

The great thing about these movies are that they are only each about 30 minutes long. Now toddlers can only sit for so long and 30 minutes is usually our max. It's why TV shows don't usually last longer than that. Ever wondered why toddler shows don't run for hours, well unless it's a marathon that is? It's because of tiny attention spans won't allow us to sit that long through anything.

Volume #1 and #2 contained songs that most mommies and daddies know. These included Wheels on the Bus, Head Shoulders Knees & Toes, Down By the Bay, Working on the Railroad, just to name a few. The Sweet Songs & Lullabies did not put me to sleep but was a much milder version of the other two. The great thing about the GiggleBellies is that you can actually take a look at the songs on their website. You can "test-drive" the DVD's so to speak before even buying, but why wouldn't you want to add them to your little one's collection? They are a must buy!

The bright colors on the TV enraptured me and I have to tell you that the twist put on these classic songs was really a lot of fun. Not to mention that the animations would actually make you giggle out loud. My favorite was actually Old MacDonald Had A Farm. I was actually trying to sing along to the words and making the silly animal sounds. Mommy even joined in with me. Your little one would really enjoy it as much as I did.

The GiggleBellies has won numerous awards including: 2013 Academics' Choice Smart Media Award. 2013, 2012 & 2010 DVDs OF THE YEAR AWARD by Creative Child Magazine. Dr. Toy's 2013 100 Best Children's Products, 10 Best Audio/Video DVD, and Best Picks. Winner of Mom's Best Editor's Choice 2013, 2013 Family Choice Awards, awarded the Gold Award from Mom's choice Awards, awarded the Dove "Family-Approved" Seal, KIDS FIRST! Endorsement, Mr. Dad Seal of Approval, Pixie Award, multiple Telly Awards and multiple Omni Intermedia Awards. You're really getting the best of the best!
