Citrus Lane - 25 Month Old Box - February 2014

I'm having help today with my subscription boxes. Yes my sister Krxssy is helping because as you may have noticed, my mommy is still out of commission. We even had a scare that I am sure that she will share with you once she gets better. Now my subscription boxes are one of the things that I try not to let pass without sharing what I got. So many of you have actually purchased your own boxes based on our reviews, and it makes me really happy when you do. I have been a Citrus Lane subscriber for quite some time and I just love receiving my boxes. For those who don't know what Citrus Lane is, it is a monthly subscription box service for newborns up to age 5. Each month your box comes with goodies tailored to your little one's age. If you are interested in seeing what we got in past boxes, you can check out my Citrus Lane January Box Post.

Now you may have noticed that our Citrus Lane box this month is no longer pretty like it was during the holidays. It's back to the original yellow, boring box. Don't let the outside packaging fool you. There is nothing boring on the inside. It's always something that I know that I am going to love just waiting for me.

Upon opening my box I see the usual Citrus Lane "Hello" card and something that looks like food. It may be pretend food but it was food, and I love food!

My card read:
February is the time of year when we ask ourselves - is winter over yet? Not quite ... but we've put together items that we hope will brighten up the dismal weather. We're so excited to bring you Green Toys to encourage pretend play, a unique feeding item from Oogaa, something to read at bedtime, and a special treat for mom. See you in the spring!

Build-A-Sandwich from Green Toys
shop.greentoys.com

We collaborated with Green Toys to create this exclusive food set just for our Citrus Lane subscribers. It's great for pretend play, which is an important milestone for your child's development. We love that the pieces stack and don't fall off and that they're made from 100% recycled plastic that's free from BPA, phthalates or PVC.
I am a big of Green Toys! I have quite a few of their toys and this one I know I am going to have lots of fun with. I love kitchen foods and I love creating my own sandwiches. I may not be a big meat lover but that doesn't mean that I can't pretend to make a veggie burger.

Silicone Divided Plate from Oogaa
oogaa.com

This colorful divided plate from Oogaa is made from European approved food safe, silicone that is PVC and phthalate free! Unique because the three compartments are 4oz bowls, so they can be used for solids or liquids. Great for kids who like to dip foods or for moms who like the convenience of combining apple sauce and chicken nuggets on the same plate. BPA free, no harsh chemicals and easy to clean. Dishwasher, microwave, freezer, and oven safe. Use code CITRUS14 for 25% off your entire order at oogaa.com thru 6/1/2014.
I have to say that this was positively adorable! Is that a word to describe a plate? This was everything that I needed in a plate. Dishwasher and microwave safe and also slip resistant. That means that there will be less mess to make. I can't wait to use this!

Starlight Sailor from Barefoot Books
barefootbooks.com

This new format of Starlight Sailor has a beautiful matte finish, and a very sweet story. Follow along with a small boy and his dog as they navigate the land of dreams in a paper boat and meet all kinds of curious and magical creatures. Don't miss the extension activity at the end of the book, fun for when your child is a little older or with big sister or brother. Use code CITRUSSTORY for 15% off at barefootbooks.com thru 3/10/2014
You all know by now that I am a big fan of books. Books make you smart and I want to get smarter. I have a few barefoot books and I love them. This is going to be no exception I am sure. Mommy and I will be reading this as soon as she gets better.

Green Apple Age Defy Hand Cream from Juice Beauty
juicebeaty.com

A mom's hands do a lot of hard work. Between washing dishes, doing laundry, giving baths, changing diapers and constant hand washing the skin on our hands goes through a lot! Take a moment to pamper yourself with this luxurious hand cream from Juice Beauty, formulated to minimize fine lines, help age spots, and keep your hands soft during these dry winter months. Note: this hand cream is designed for most skin types, but is not recommended for very sensitive or rosacea skin. Use code CITRUS14 for $10 off any purchase of $40 or more at juicebeauty.com thru 4/30/2014.
My sister smelled this and said that it smelled really good. She is going to keep this for herself but I am going to hide it away for mommy. Mommy does do a lot of hard work and she does change my diapers a LOT. Mommy deserves this a lot more than my sister does. She can use the code and get one for herself.

Now although I loved everything that came in my box, the highlight would have to be the build-a-burger stack from Green Toys. I certainly had a lot of fun making my burger just the way I like it.

Now Citrus Lane boxes are usually $25 which includes shipping but if you join today using my referral link you will get $10 off your first box. $15 for your first box filled with goodies is a really great deal if you ask me. I can't wait to see what my March box brings.
