Be Girlie With Girlie Glue

Disclosure: I received products from Girlie Glue. No other compensation was received. Though the product was free, opinions are 100% my very own.

If you have ever seen any of my baby photos, you may know that I was born with a head full of hair. I've always had lots of hair for mommy to make look pretty. Unlike a few of my friends who were born bald I guess I got lucky. Making me look like a little girl has never been a problem. Well what about those babies who don't have as much hair as I do? Have you ever been stopped with your little girl and been told "what a handsome little boy”. Mommy had the opposite done when my big brother Kyle was a baby. He kept getting mistaken for a little girl even though he wore blue. He still looks like a girl to me. A company that wants to solve the problem of identification, contacted mommy and me. Introducing Girlie Glue. Now your little girls can look like girls.

Now I'm going to be honest with you. Mommy really had to think twice about doing this review. First mommy wasn't sure about gluing anything to my hair. Was this safe? Would it pull my hair out since I already had hair? Lots of questions and all answered before mommy said yes.

  • Girlie Glue is made with Agave nectar and other all-natural ingredients. It is safe, 100% Honey-Free and washes away easily with water.

Mommy tried it on my hair and it actually stuck. All it took was just a tiny bit. Now the test would be having it stay and for how long. Lets just say that it stayed stuck until I decided that I wanted to take it out myself by pulling it off, approximately 6 hours. Now I think that it would have lasted all day if I wasn't interested in seeing it up close and personal. Know the best thing about me pulling it out? There was no hair attached to it when I did that. What about the glue that was left over in my hair? Well that was really easy to come off. With a warm washcloth mommy was able to get it all off. It was that easy! This is such a great alternative to what mommy was using before. Mommy liked to use rubber bands to keep my hair together. Rubber bands though tend to pull my hair when mommy takes them out. Now with Girlie Glue my hair can stay put together and look great when it's done as well.

We also decided to get a little creative with our Girlie Glue. My ears as you may have noticed from my many photos aren't pierced. Mommy wants me to make that decision of whether I want my ear pierced when I'm older. My big sister on the other hand has her ears pierced and wears earrings and I'm always pointing at her ears. Well this is such a great alternative to having my ears pierced. Mommy was able to put a little of the glue on the hair accessory and place it on my ear. Instant ear gratification! Don't I look cute? With so many options available with Girlie Glue it's all up to you and your imagination.

I am really in love with Girlie Glue. They've made a believer out of mommy and me as well. We wished we had known about them when I was younger. Back then I wore headbands that sometimes looked tight. I also wore hair accessories that pulled my hair tight and left hair bumps as well. This definitely solves all that. No more hair pulling, a simple and easy to wash off glue is all that it takes. I have to give Girlie Glue my TWO TINY THUMBS UP

Check out this cute commercial from Girlie Glue. It will make you smile like it did mommy and me!

  1. This is adorable and seriously wish I would have known about this when Emma was a baby, because she was bald until almost 18 months old! Seriously, I would have gone to town on this one with her :)

  5. How cute. Things like this sometimes make me wish I had a daughter. Side note - both of my boys were born with full heads of hair, too. Explained the heartburn I guess :)

  6. What a great product idea. I am sure there are many other uses that people will think of for this product down the road and I loved that you used it for a temporary earring solution.

  7. Cute!!! I've never heard of this. My girl was born with tons of curls. Des was the one who was pretty bald. I guess it's ok because look at him now. Gorgeous hair. All ready for his Madison.

  8. Having all boys, this is not a problem I can say I've ever thought of, but I LOVE the idea! Does it have a sweet smell? I can imagine my boys pouring the bottle of honey on themselves thinking they were doing the same thing as this product does. Oh we'd better never have a girl :)

  9. I've never heard of this before. Love the creative idea to use it for "earrings," that is super cute!

  15. My daughter was born with a head full of gorgeous hair and she never lost any. My little great niece who is the same age wasn't that fortunate. She is now 14 months and still doesn't have much hair so I will have to tell my nephew about this glue. What a great idea!

  16. I'm a little Leary of the whole "gluing a bow in my kids hair" regardless of what they make it out of.
My kids ALWAYS yank whatever is in there hair out of their hair.
How well does the glue wash out?

  19. I wonder if it would work for older kids like my 6 year old daughter who hates having things in her hair. I think this not being clipped on or falling down all the time may just be something I'll have to look into. my 6 year old has some sensory issues and if she can get away with it would never have a thing in her hair but if we could glue some bows to the side of her hair I wonder if it would stay in place with a child who has fine strawberry red hair? yep I have a feisty redhead. I wish I had found this when my Isabella was a baby.

    1. Hi Amanda! I really think your daughter would LOVE Girlie Glue! My daughter doesn't like regular bows either, so I use a dab of Girlie Glue to hold back a little braid or small piece of her hair out of her face without any tension or pulling. No heavy clips or bands that pull hair out. It is so lightweight she won't know it is there! Watch our You Tube Video with the braid and washing the glue out :) You don't even have to add a bow, but if you do they are much more comfortable because they weigh almost nothing! We hope you give it a try! Thanks for your question and comments!

  26. I must be in the minority...I have boys and although it is cute, I just couldn't imagine using it. I have 9 nieces so I'd have reason to but I don't like a lot of accessories on kids. I am glad this product is out there for those who will use it!

  28. I'm not sure if I would want to put glue in my baby's head whenever I do have one. I have nieces that are bald but we put headbands on them. Sometimes it does look tight but the babies don't complain so I guess it's ok. It says its all natural and safe but I'm just worried about that word glue. :)

  29. I have boys so this was never an issue but I know a few parents that would have tried this out.

  30. That looks so cute. My daughter is way too old for these

  31. This would be perfect for my granddaughter Harper. She has beautiful red hair and they put a bow or other adornment in it all the time. Of course she pulls it out! I'm going to suggest this to my daughter.

  32. Oh my goodness, how adorable are these little hair adornments! My daughter would never let me put these on her... although with this glue, she might not even notice them so much ;)

    1. It won't pull hair out, and if you are worried about it, just spray it with water and the Girlie Glue dissolves! My mom used tape too!!! We hope you try it and love it!

  54. Wayyy too cute! I could see myself gifting this to new moms. Although, most of the babies in our family are born with massive amounts of hair haha. I do know a few friends that would totally go bananas for this! What a great idea for this company - I know one particular friend who hated hearing "he's so cute" because her daughter was dressed in pink ... and bald. Those headbands left such weird indentation marks and HAD to be uncomfortable. My little girl has a lot of hair too, but I love that you got creative and put them as earrings! Such a fantastic way to think outside the box ... and it was a major win!

  55. As a mom of two bowaholics, I applaud your effort to put bows in your child's hair. Girlie glue looks amazing. Wish I had it when my were little, they would have been wearing them before they had enough hair to actually wear a bow.

  56. I love Girlie Glue! It is awesome for babies with or without hair! I use it on my bald baby and my toddler with hair that like to fall into her face! I even use it on my four year old. Do a little braid and use a dab of glue on the back side and press it down. No need for a pesky rubber band! Then it just dissolves in water in the tub! I LOVE Girlie Glue! I am glad you got to try it! Thanks for sharing!

  57. Thank you Madison and Mommy for trying out our product! You look Darling and we are glad you love it! Thanks for sharing! We are happy to see so many fun comments and just want to answer a few of the questions. Girlie Glue Is so fun because it doesn't ONLY work on bald babies- though that was the original design. Since being developed, SO many uses have come out! It is an amazing product for babies with hair too! No more clips that slip and headbands that fall and are uncomfortable. It is also incredible at holding toddlers hair back out of their face-with a bow or without! Check out our You tube videos to show how it can hold a brain back in place without any rubber bands and clips! No more rubber bands getting stuck and pulling all their hair out! Toddlers and girls use Girlie Glue for hair and earrings just as much as Babies do! Not to mention boys using it for mustaches and it is amazing to help out with costumes and even adult hair styles! It is fun because it is great for those who love a big girly bow, as well as those who just want a small feminine touch without hassle and pain! Amanda, Your 6 year old daughter who doesn't like clips would love Girlie Glue. You can pull a small section of hair from the front back out of her face with a dab of glue and don't even need a bow if you don't want! It will simply keep the hair away so you can see her cute face. Add a bow if she likes, and they are so light weight they probably won't bother her!
Girlie Glue is called a "Glue" just to describe what it does, but is as mild as can be. It is made from Agave nectar, Corn syrup and sugar! So after using Girlie Glue for all these fun things, it simply dissolves away in water. We would love for you all to try it! We know you will become a fan of Girlie Glue! The longer you own our product the more uses you will find for it! Please contact us if you have any other questions! We hope you all give it a try!
Thanks again Madison and Mommy! We love your Blog!
